I'm having a harder time getting into this game. Maybe it's just cause it's the weekend.

My role is complicated and has lots of moving parts, but not super powerful. (Again, kind of like my life...)
I like this softclaim. Like, not in the sense that I think it's pro-town necessarily; like, in the sense that it strikes me as true and makes me lean town on wcd.

Time passes.

Has a year gone by since humankind freed itself from the shackles of an alien race?  Months?  Time passes, but it is hard to track.

Winning the war with the Espheni was only a step, and what came after was still painful.  Rebuilding, finding our way again, None of it is easy.  And yet, humans are strong.  People are strong.  We find a way.

Defeating an evil race of aliens does not mean we defeated evil.  No, everlasting peace and prosperity is not guaranteed.  We do our best, but will it be enough?  Even now, we face unknown fears and an impossible future.  Can the good in people win out again?

—Diary Entry, a day during a cold summer, some time after the defeat of the Espheni

Day 1 begins now.

So let's analyze the flavor a little bit. It seems like, at least flavor-wise, the aliens are gone. So probably the mafia are human?

That's pretty much all I got. I thought I could get a little more out of it. Any other thoughts?

iirc from reading the last game, there were multiple kinds of aliens in the show. i think they defeated the espheni but there are still others around? the falling skies wiki lists 10 alien races

This is pretty much where I’m at. Pubby and Faust both seem a bit off, although I can almost guarantee that there is at least one baddie who is defending a “townier” person.

MiX, for example.

how can you have enough info to say pubby seems off? literally all he's said is "is there harnessed children" and an unexplained vote for me.

i guess i've never seen town!pubby, does he post a bunch when he's town? all i see so far is lurking.

I like this softclaim. Like, not in the sense that I think it's pro-town necessarily; like, in the sense that it strikes me as true and makes me lean town on wcd.
How does it compare to LaLight's softclaim?

iirc he's already made 2 so far.
The one about alignment change I believe, but it doesn't tell me anything about his alignment.
The other one I don't necessarily believe.

@Faust, are you on wcd for:

a) the softclaim
b) fluffiness of posts
c) other reason
d) don't want to say

Aha so I actually just thought of a way that the softclaim could be scummy, but it's pretty remote. Could you explain why you think it deserves a vote?

So like people keep saying faust seems off, but I am not getting that vibe. I am not one way or another, but for anyone (not just you) to say off... is off. also you are saying that.

Also, as cayvie has already pointed out - pubby hasn't like done anything... which is pretty standard pubby regardless of alignment in my experience with them.

also also - "one baddie that is defending a townier person"? That implies you at least think mix is skummy yeah? Does that make Skip town by the same merit?

Is the only reason you think mix is skummy so far because they are defending someone?
