Because it is changing really fast and matters rather dramatically in all kinds of ways. Debatepro is in cybersecurity, and although I have only limited knowledge of what he does, it is super intriguing. Do you find it interesting? Or when you are down in it, is it just work?
Well, I am studying it because it's an important field, and I'm interested in doing something that actually matters. Cyber security is definitely one of the most compelling careers for me for that reason. I don't hate the actual substance of the field by any means and I think I can learn it relatively effortlessly, but e.g. understanding the pros and cons of linked lists and array lists is not something that I find inherently fascinating, it's just a necessary evil to accomplish a goal. I do music production on the side as a hobby and a way to earn some extra income, and I'm much more intrigued by the equivalent minor everyday technicalities there, but obviously the downside of music is that there are like a thousand people doing it per every music professional we actually have any use for in society, so I would feel like I'm wasting my life if I focused exclusively on that.
