243 Combined Points: That's Kind Of A Lot I'm Thinking

Not sure how often something like this happens, maybe it's more common than I think, but I was pretty amazed at this game's final score of 128-115.

My opponent and I both opened Fishing Village/Fishing Village, and ended with 140 total cards, none of which were Gold and 56 of which were Copper. It can't be too common to win while giving up 3 20-point turns in one game. I'm pretty inexperienced (learned the game twelve days ago, am now obsessed and have played ~200 games on Isotropic) and I won, so I imagine both of us made plenty of mistakes. Still a cool game though, I think.

That is a pretty unusual score.

I lost 87-97 the other day:

which is one of the bigger non-Goons-fueled-blowout combined point totals I've been involved in.

Goons is pretty silly for its ability to rack up big points though. Had that board been played by more experienced players the game most likely would have three-piled on some combination of Goons, City, Fishing Village, and Scheme. Even if the game was played closely the margin of victory would be large as both players would try to hold off on deck bloating cards (i.e. money, victory) in hopes of finishing with an activated City fueled mega turn.

This was a really mean one:

113-111.  FV/Goons with Duke on board.

How about 282 combined points?

Here's a KC/Bishop/Embargo game where I lose despite having 7 Colonies and 8 Provinces, and having led for 20 consecutive turns. It got pretty weird near the end.

How 'bout 296? Okay, 265 of them were me. And yeah, I  could have scored 70-some-odd more points by buying green cards. Standard goons affair, REAL GAME, a few days ago. And most of my top records now on CR.

Not to mention 208 points in a single turn.  That's a crazy game, I can't believe your opponent didn't contest the KCs.
