Some mod thoughts:
First of all, thanks everyone for playing! And congratulations to ashersky, Pinpongsam, and Roadrunner for winning. I'm giving the
MVP to ashersky for manipulating town enough to evade your lynch even though you were straight up copped as scum. He also did a good job coordinating with pingpongsam and roadrunner to get those quicklynches. The three of them worked together well in general. Nod to ii for doing so well despite losing his partner so early.
For setup creation things, I wanted to put Walter White's transformation into Heisenberg into a mafia game. I also wanted to capture that source of tension from the show where the Cartel wanted to kill certain players but Gustavo wouldn't allow it. Meth was what tied those things together. I also tried to do my best to "recreate the show" in terms of players having their abilities modified based on what other people did and you can see that in the web of character relationships, but it was tough trying to try and keep that balanced that with so many of them being fake claims. I am upset that faust and schadd died on N1 and D1 as I was most excited to see how their roles would play out. This was fun to design though, so hopefully it was fun for people to play
Balance-wise, I do think the Juarez were a bit OP. Town (or, rather, non-Juarez) did get unlucky having schadd die early as his Watcher ability + LPH limiting ability could catch a JC member very early. As I remarked in the Mod QT, quite a few town members didn't really use their abilities which could have had a big effect on the game. Regardless, I would have definitely nerfed PPS' voting power as it was more designed to give the JC greater control during the day (since their kill was limited) and not be just a "woah wtf" factor. If town had a put in a bit more work earlier, I do think they would have got at least one of the Cartel members a bit earlier. I think many people were a confused about a few things in the setup, so I don't blame them too much.
