Yesterday I thought the game won't start until at least sunday. Cool that we finally did it! To the news, thank god I'm town this time and I am also VLA for some hours :)

I am thinking that the beetle should claim. They will still be able to try to block on the first night, and it's kinda unlikely that a block on the second night matters much - we really just need to lynch the moons. And it seemed to be pretty helpful last time. But, I'd like to hear what everyone else wants to do. So, here's what we do:

In your next post, state whether you would like the beetle to claim or not

and we'll go from there. Don't claim beetle/not beetle until everyone has responded please. If you hedge on this you better explain your thoughts at least.

Oh, here are some other rules. I make the rules.

The beetle should have already PMed ashersky a preliminary target who isn't themselves or me. Please make sure to do that.

Maybe don't vote too quickly. Definitely don't hammer too quickly. However, do please hammer in the next 42 hours. So maybe never mind about the not voting too quickly. If there's time until deadline do wait for other people to post before hammering, otherwise we'll have to assume that you're scum quickhammering. Should just be common sense, but there are a lot of games where that doesn't happen.

Some things to remember (for myself and town): scum have daychat. In case of a tied vote at deadline, there will be a coinflip. That's crazy! In particular it means we still have a longshot chance if we mislynch and mafia shot succeeds to make it 3v3.

Hmmm, I like having power, even if I don't actually explicitly have any. But I'm thinking... that there isn't much reason for me to vote, since I don't particularly need to hold myself accountable for my positions or anything so that you don't lynch me. So I don't really have any reason to vote. Further, I won't be talking about my personal reads unless I feel like I need to convince other town players. So: if I vote, it will be the hammer vote.

But it will be a specific 50/50 with two claims. Half of 2 being scum is better info than half of 6 being scum. It also means that scum can't kill Beetle without outing one of their own. I think maybe Beetle should claim?
