I'm pretty on the fence about whether the Vig should claim. If we're going to lynch today, we might need the Vig to save us if we get it wrong, yes?
If the vig has targeted tonight and the target wasn't scum it is incredibly likely that scum is aware of their identity already. If the vig did not target anyone they should obviously not claim except when under pressure.

Sure. The vig doesn't know if they're target was scum, though.
But if we would follow through on lynching the target if no counterclaim occurs we would only fail in the case of the target being innocent.
It's risky, but maybe no more risky than choosing someone the usual way.

It does put all our eggs in one basket, though.  It is still possible that the target was town AND scum don't know who the vig is. We give up that possibility by outing the vig.

I'm thinking about it and I think I would JK a town instead of a goon. They have a rolecop so they presumably know pretty well who is a PR and who isn't. I think they JK the vig ( or who they have POEd as vig than hope that they shoot the goon.

I'm pretty sure it is more likely that scum targeted their goon (at least it would probably be right play, not sure what scum did though).

Firstly, I think it is very likely that they don't know the vig's identity (at least at the JK time). At the time of the jailkeep, they had just one rolecop result. That makes 1 out of 9 remaining players.
Also, they decided to kill Dylan which they arguably wouldn't have done if they would have known the actual vig who is arguably more powerful.

Jailkeeping the goon reduces the chance (on average) of a scum death by a third while not affecting the chance of a pro-scum town death in the slightest.
That is far better for scum than just jailing out in the wild.

Except the goon has to perform the kill if both the RC and the JK do their thing.

Somehow thought multi-targeting was possible.

But yeah, in that case it is definitely less likely that the goon was jailed. The vig should not claim here then.

Okay, but then, the scum probably do know who the Vig is, and nothing is really lost by having the Vig claim. Maybe nothing is gained either, though.

Looked genuine for me. also I don't really think gkrieg would do something like this as scum.

Yes, but stating it will get someone else to evaluate it and we can get over the gkrieg is possibly scum faster.

I feel confident in Vote: Robz Lots of confirmed town has called him out for being scum and I can't find many reasons for him to be towny. Also he is in my lynch pool based on POE.

This is not compelling evidence for a confident vote at potential mylo. What's the case on Robz?

This counts for pretty much zero at this point. No one's Day 1 was townie enough to really matter here.

But, with respect to this...

I find gkrieg generally scummy. What does everyone think about his "Townslip"?

I still don't see any way to read the slip as anything other than meaning gkrieg is town. Really sucks if he's somehow scum, but yeah, I'm not seriously considering his lynch at this point.

I don't think it's a scummy think to say, I've (legitimately) had that sentiment before. But! LaLight feels pretty similar to the LaLight from M-94, who we now know is scum. He's definitely up there for me right now.
