I mean, it's happened in every game he's played so far, so I guess if it has to happen, I'd rather people get the "Jake, do something different" out of the way right at the beginning than when more important things are happening closer to a deadline.  Although I don't see anything wrong with faust's if/then statement Mc2.  It was perfectly clear what he meant, and he shouldn't have to adjust his grammar to adjust for a 14 year old who is perfectly capable of reading.  And I'm in the acceptance stage at this point, so how can we look for ways to take advantage of Jake's play-style rather than just lynching him or arguing with him all the time?

So far, faust and LL seem to be well within their town metas.

I don't think schadd makes the dayvig comment if he were scum.  I don't feel like looking back for who said it at the moment, but someone said they were sure he was claiming "not dayvig." That's possible, but considering the fact he specifically referenced gkrieg breadcrumbing traitor in his first post in M92, I think there's a chance he was really breadcrumbing dayvig and he actually has to give command in QT where we can't see it to know he is doing it.  He might not be, and he might not even be town, but that would be a pretty ballsy move as scum.

PPE 3

Now you vividly remind me of scum!yourself in nm9.

You are probably thinking that because I am slightly townreading faust and he was my partner in that game and I never pushed to lynch you.

I thought maybe you were about to say something else and then realized it wasn't me, so then changed your post to comment on the almost mistake.

I want to be clear, I am purely saying the things about jakes and faults playstyles because I just spent a mafia game watching and abusing town faust and town jake resulting in town losing.

I actually pushed for our mafia team to kill jake because I thought he looked too towny because it seemed clear to me he really really wanted to find scum, he just wasn't looking in the right places.

Scum!Dylan looks very towny (to me at least). I'd be careful as he played it really well in NM9. Granted, I'm not a scumhunting veteran so this may not be applicable, but I'm throwing out a word of caution nonetheless.

However, having posted that and thinking a little more, there might be some minor levels of residual salt. For anyone that hasn't read the game, Dylan was scum and told me not to townread him. I did it anyway and it didn't turn out well.

Yes, there's a scum QT of Robz's where he points out how useful town!Jake is for the scum team, but I think most of us in this game are aware of that now. The other things to bear in mind are
1) He seems to enjoy the attention of being talked about, even if it's controversial/negative.
2) He's very young, and his play actually improving, so setting higher expectations and then pushing him to live up to them is better than just pigeonholing him as a poor player.
3) Gkrieg has been pretty good at trying to direct Jake's thinking and responses in better directions, and LL is a patient player who's good with young people.. so I think they're good examples for the rest of us.

Why did he tell you not to town read him and why did you then town read him?

I was townreading him because I was town and I thought we had similar opinions, therefore he must be town as well. He advised me not to use that as the basis for a read. On subsequent reads, attempting to ignore the similarity in opinions, I was still reading him as town.

It's been brought to my attention that I have a contradiction in the rules OP posts.  This is the danger of copy/pasting from old games and then changing things.

If there are mafia powerroles, they can use their ability and carry out the Night Kill on the same night.

OP will be corrected.
