RMM41 Secret History
Initially I thought that town having all these sweet PRs is overpowered by itself and there is not quite much to do with that. But then I understood there are some negative utilities or roles that need a good skill to use well. Also I decided making some random roles and Item Switching between players, so they will need to adapt to the game.
Items were semi-random. Mostly I just have chosen the item flavor for a person and then tied the role that fits. After that looked at the whole picture and correctd stuff.
Let's look closer at the roles:
Dipper Pines (SpaceAnemone)
Ability: Flavor cop, who gets to know flavor of the ability/item a person used the same night
Item: Diary #3, Doctor.
Flavorwise both the ability and item match Dipper pretty well. Not a very powerful ability, which, though can spot a Nightkill. Flavors of abilities were not, in any way, tied to the flavor. Some abilities were called pretty townie, like "Help!", some were scummy, "Disguise", "Rage", some were falsely scummy, like "Looking for partner" for Cop. All the roles were named with this in mind.
Mabel Pines (iguanaiguana)
Role: Beloved Princess
Item: Star Glasses (Sensor)
This is one of those roles that are both very powerful (sensor may know the whole setup N1!) and very hurtful to town. You should push so lynch will occur, you should lay low to not be killed and not to be lynched. I love this role, it matches both the flavor and my understanding of a good role.
Waddles (gkrieg13)
Role: IC
Item: The Cutest nose in the world (Loved)
Loved IC, huh? Asking me why I did this? The reason is quite simple! Why not? One of the most powerful for scum item is in the hands of IC! I was thinking that SK will switch IC's item quite soon, but in fact I was wrong.
Grenda (JacktheBaseballGod22)
Ability: HUG! HUG! HUG!, Roleblocker
Item: Loud Voice
One of those roles that needs careful treatment. Town RB is super cool and powerful, but can easily be a negative utility (which in fact happened N1). Nothing really more to say about the role. Well, maybe that it is so obviously scummy as it is, that I gave it to town?
Sheriff Blubs (silverspawn)
Ability: Search for partner (Random Cop)
Item: Black Glasses (Rolecop)
This is one of the most powerful town roles. Random Cop may be useless if the results come to scum hands, but it may decide quite a lot if it is in town ones. Rolecop is cool too.
Robbie Valentino (faust)
My favourite one.
Abilities: Help! (Odd-Night Hider), Find the Courage! (Even-Night JK)
Item: Dark Thought I Want To Speak About: Neighbourizer.
I wanted town to have reduced JK. I was thinking about how do i do it. And I came with the conclusion that I want to do him risky. Weak Jailkeeper doesn't make any sense, so I chose Hider for that.
Item is just a topping, so the person would try to see who is town in personal conversation, so they will hide successfully.
Stanford Pines (Awaclus)
Ability: Dangerous Science: Rolecop on Items
Item: 6th finger: non-consecutive PGO
Perfect flavorwise. I have made this item just PGO, but then realised it's too powerful. The person will just activate PGO every night and the town will have another IC.
Soos (Eevee)
Ability: Golf Car Driver: Bus Driver
Item: "?" T-Shirt: Miller
The funny easter egg is that Soos was the only guy in the series with this T-Shirt and if anyone would find the list of characters of whatever they would know, that the guy with this T-Shirt is town. What I loved about Miller is that it interacts funny with Hider and Star Glasses. Such a pity igu was blocked.
Scum
Scum in this game wasn't given scum powers (Strongman, Ninja, etc.) but was given perfect roles to claim.
Gideon (J Reggie)
Fakeclaim: Stanley Pines
Ability: Rage: 2-shot Item Destroyer
Item: TV-set: Watcher
Watcher and Tracker both in scum team. I wonder if anyone really has thought about it. 2-sho Item Destroyer was the only thing that could interact with Items except SK's one.
Pacifica Northwest (Dylan32)
Fakeclaim: Candy
Ability: Gossiping: Flavor Cop
Item: French Accent: Babysitter
The third Flavor Cop in this company. Good for finding Bill, good for finding twins. Good for fakeclaiming. Babysitter is just a cool role for scum who works versus SK and also a perfect claim.
Dipper's Clone (ashersky)
Fakeclaim: Lazy Susan
Abilities: Where are you going?: Tracker, Disguise: When Dipper Pines dies, you acquire his abilities and items.
Item: A pie: 1-shot Vanillaizer
1-shot Vanillaizer is a huge addition to the scum-team. IOther than that a cool scum Tracker. It really worked!
Bill, the Chaos Master (Roadrunner7671)
Fakeclaim: Wendy
Abilities
1) Chaos!: Redirector
2) More Chaos!: Item Changer
3) And Even More Chaos!: 1-shot Nexus
4) Chaos Chaos Chaos!: 1-shot Mass item exchanger
5) MAXIMUM CHAOS!: 1-shot Mass Redirection
6) You can't kill me!: Bulletproof
7) Rules are for borings!: You may use any amount of differently named actions AND items every night.
Item: Axe: Vigilante
This is my masterpiece. Unkillable Chaos Master who can kill and do much fun stuff. Note that if Bill would lose his item, he wouldn't have any ways to kill! That what I loved about this role. Funny was that in the end he didn't lie about redirection, so we may say Eevee did a good job!
Mod Errors:
There were some errors, big or small, that could influence the game in a little or big way. I will share them with you and you, The People, will decide what to do with me next.
1) My favorite one. On Day 3 I accidentally send ashersky the speccy for the game. He claimed he did not read it, I believe.
2) Dylan's Flavor Cop on faust. We bounced this back and forth in speccy, and I am still unsure this was an error. Thing is: N1 faust died hiding behind ashersky, and I gave Dylan No Result because in my head when the person is already dead (and if we look at the action resolution order, he was dead already) then you get no result. Feel free to criticize.
3) The most serious one I believe. On Night 1 or 2 I confused the order of RR's redirection and Eevee's bus-driving, so RR was first and Eevee after him. I don't know how serious that was, but here it is.
To sum up I really enjoyed the game. And as well I enjoyed the setup construction. Thank you all guys for playing, I hope this was not the worst game in your lives. Thanks!
