After reading through some old games I have realized that at this point i'm probably dead anyway with 6 votes on me so i'm just gonna tell my role and let you guys decide if it will benefit anyone to lynch a vanilla townie

Seems to me like he would claim a PR if he really wanted to save himself, instead of claiming vanilla townie.

Claiming a PR would be awful and anti town. The thing is, his response seemed a little to conscious for a towny. I don't know his character, but generally speaking newb!townies (at least in my model of them) are more likely to sound like "Man, I'm really just a vanilla towny, it doesn't make sense to lynch me" and not "Since I'm likely to get lynched I will benefit town by telling my role and let them make decision based on that". But this might be way off, need rr to elaborate on Jakes character for that.

yeah, i don't really think doubting people for, like, the (un-)noobiness of what they say is reliable. or, rather, that's not the thing that feels weird to me about jake. the sense i'm getting is that he already knows a bunch of the language (just from experience) but there is a faint tang of, like, quintuple-wifom, like, he's clearly attempting to say stuff in a 'towny' way but it also sort of explicitly sounds like he's trying to say stuff in a 'towny' way, etc. i am willing to believe that he is a god, not only of baseball.

So Jake's not even got that much of a wagon for someone who's so worried about being lynched at this point in a D1. But he's new, and I remember being super-nervous about that sort of thing to start with. So maybe that's a bit null. I need to do more re-reads, but right now I mostly need to go to bed.
