But I've been trying to get things going while other players have just been bumbling around. I know post counts don't matter and I said that in a previous game, but still I feel like I'm the only one who's been trying to help town and I'm getting votes for it.

Trying to control or direct the thread is not necessarily the same as trying to help the town.  I'm willing to admit you might not be scum, but without knowing how you normally play, I just can't help but think at least some of what you have said sounds scummy.

don't know ss or m-m enough, though it seems that ss does tend to be vocal and excited while town, from v. limited experience. j reggie's attitude didn't stop rubbing me the wrong way, he's defending himself a lot. that is the extent of it

Yeah, this is very true, hasn't really thought about that.

I kind of like this silverspawn wagon, but am very happy with my current vote.

4 mafia in 12 players means that mafia has more control over the thread than usual. Town players should try to think independently and not jump on wagons without a good reason.

4 mafia also means that there are 4 players who know everyone's alignments and therefore will have to be faking interactions. It's important for this game not to be too Rvsy D1 so that we can get off to a good start.

Now that RMM35 is over: wait what I don't know anything about there being 4 mafia!

You are confusing. The setup clearly says there are 4 worms on Team Mafia and 8 on Team Town.

Yeah, I find it odd because he's a smart guy and I've seen him posting elsewhere. The game is a little slow to get going, but surely there's something interesting in it to pick at!

Ghacob hasn't posted in more than 39 hours now. Their most recent post was the weird u-turn one, and that was long before the new rule about losing health points for 48-hour absences, so I don't actually know whether they even know...

There is such a thing as a strategic absence from a game. I disagree with that strategy for a variety of reasons, but I wouldn't necessarily draw any conclusions about his absence other than the simple fact he isn't around.

And people not posting has never worked for town. Just look at Dune3. Huge bonus lynching me D1, but then failed to capitalize in the long run due to (I believe) inactivity by town

If silverspawn does start losing health I will switch to him.

Or anyone for that matter. I am a lot more lenient to lurkers than when I started playing (see Toy Story Mafia), but inactive is different than lurking.

I'm so disappointed by Dune 3 - I'm glad to have gotten MVP but I really thought when D2 hit that we were going to see a Town win.

Game itself was fun, mind you, and I loved the setup. I just wish people had been more "into" it.
