I don't necessarily find the statement he made in his most recent post to be scummy overall, but in this specific situation it could be.

According to the set-up (yeah, I know, I get scum points for reading things, but I wanted to come up with ideas about how to play!), the scums can pool their weapons, whereas the rest of us only have what we're carrying.

I'd wondered if discussing what capabilities we all have would be informative, because people not using weapons they'd already claimed they have, or using weapons from someone else's supply must be scum. However, that assumes we have tracking people on our side, and we don't want to out town powers to soon. Also, we receive at least one new weapon each night (our free weapon crates), so sometimes town may get something cool and want to be able to use it immediately.

Does anyone have ideas about what the utility crates might have? Did anyone start out with something other than two random-sounding weapons and want to talk about this stuff? I'm sure not talking about everything is probably the best policy, but I don't think I've over-shared so far.

The info you talked about (people using or not using discussed weapons) could be useful, but I think scum would have too much to gain by finding out what exactly everyone else has.  I'm not sure any benefits for town would outweigh the benefits scum would gain.  I could be wrong, but that's my two cents.

4 mafia in 12 players means that mafia has more control over the thread than usual. Town players should try to think independently and not jump on wagons without a good reason.

4 mafia also means that there are 4 players who know everyone's alignments and therefore will have to be faking interactions. It's important for this game not to be too Rvsy D1 so that we can get off to a good start.

Now that RMM35 is over: wait what I don't know anything about there being 4 mafia!

Please take note of some additional clarification I added to the setup post:

Bids and turn order

Each night, there will be a fixed turn order. This is determined in the bidding phase. The bidding phase starts at the start of the day and ends when the Day ends (but it lasts at least 24 hours). During that time, each player must place a bid in their personal QT, which is any positive integer. Bids may be changed until the end of the Day. Players who fail to place a bid take 30 health damage and automatically go last, with the order among them decided randomly. Turn order is determined as follows:
1) Find the integer that the least (positive) number of players bid. If there are multiple such integers, choose the lowest.
2) Randomly determine an order among the players that bid that number.
3) Starting with 1, give the next free spot to the next player in that order.
4) Remove the integer from the pool.
5) If there are still players left without a spot, start again with 1.

Additionally, from now on, if any player does not post for a period of 48 hours, they take 30 health damage. The second time this happens, they will be replaced without further notice.

silverspawn has failed to post for 48 hours. He has an additional 24 to make a post or will take 30 health damage.
