My top towns would be Schadd > Gkrieg > SpaceA

Scums seem to be LaLight, Joseph, WW.

I think there's a decent chance both LaLight and Joseph are scum, and would be super-surprised if both were town. I don't think I like voting for anyone other than those two. But I will keep reading and see what else I find tomorrow.

So, the weekend is over, and it's time for ou guys to put in some work, make cases, and such things. I have thoughts, but I will not reveal them. Instead, I want everyone to take the following pledge:

"If there is no lynch 12 hours before deadline, I will vote for whoever faust decides we should lynch."

/pledge I think. You're experienced and IC.

I think scum!LaLight appeases Faust here because he thinks that's how not to get lynched. Town!LaLight may be more hesitant, wanting to think for himself. So scummy on being the first to agree to this (Ofcourse I a priori agreed to the plan, but I now retract everything out of stubbornness so...)

My big problem with the pledge is that everyone should have better reads than faust because they have more information than faust.  Every person knows the alignment of 2 people (themselves and faust), so their reads have a higher probability of being correct than faust's. 

Also I'm weary of the people that agree to just blindly follow faust.  That is just way too easy of a cop out if they are on a mislynch.

Well, I don't follow him blindly. I trust his opinion, cause he's really more experienced and also an IC. + I know the alignment of me and him. I don't have strong case on anyone now, only mild scumread. I'll see and listen to faust.

Gkrieg's arguments here are towny. I played 1 scum game with Gkrieg and found him to be very different from here. Much more careful, even a little mechanical, in how he crafted things. This seems a lot more like him as town.

It is never enjoyable to drink at night and wake up to find Faust claiming masons. This is not alignment indicative behavior for me. 

Ok, has someone presented a case for Joseph or is he just scummy as usual? Because I'd be willing to listen to an actual case on him, but this looks like just the same as yesterday. Just because Faust is IC doesn't mean he's always right.

I mean he has grown scummier today.  He seems a lot more calculated like he was the last time he was scum and we almost mislynched Seprix over him.

Still agree. Hard to get a wagon going on him too, that's a major factor.

Why do you say that?

It's easy to say things that are true without giving reasons when you know everyone's alignment. More scum on LaLight.

I have no idea where the notion that Joseph was townie on D1 comes from. Can anyone who thinks that lay out in a bit more detail why they think that?

In light of the flips particularly, Joseph objectively looks scummiest D1. The only townie thing about him is that he acknowledge how bad he looks rather than trying to explain it away. But that is WIFOM dependent, so doesn't sway my opinion much.

Gkrieg and Iguana read very similar in tone on Day 1.

Thing is: I pledged because faust is a person whom I can trust. Of course I can think myself, of course I will think myself, but I really just am afraid to make a mistake. I misread people all the way, I don't yet see patterns from people that lead to scumminess. Faust is really trustworthy in this case. Same as you, GKrieg or other big vets. Difference is: faust is an IC. This points him higher in my eyes. And I will say (as I did already) my thoughts and believe faust who looks on the board not to defend himself and prove he's townie, but to find real scum. Those were my thoughts there, I just didn't think I should say that, for me it's pretty obvious.

Well, I see what you meant. Sorry, I didn't think at first. Thing is: what you've said there really disappointed me. We came here to play and enjoy, and you were angry and sad(?). That was bad for me as a liker of mafia games. So I made up in mind that you're town because I think it's so very strange turn for scum just to be set aside from the game and say this is all nonsense and you feel good with lynching anybody including yourself. That was the point.

Sorry I hadn't done this yet! I think gkrieg and J Reggie are up there. I'm still leaning very townie on LaLight, but I fear that I may have a bit of a blind spot there because often his thought processes seem to be quite similar to mine. I read him as town with a lot of caution attached. In case that's not good enough for your purposes in this exercise, I also think that Iguana has come back feeling a lot more townie than when he went away.

Here's what I remember:

Gkrieg has towny rereads. Still my top town.

Gkrieg's reread of WW that he calls "null" reads as scummy to me.

But just after that WW produces some very towny content and the mid-day wagon on him made me feel town on WW overall.

Lalight's intent to hammer on WW and Roadrunner's sheep vote on WW both read as super scummy to me.

Lalight has a lot of posts where he indicates that he trusts other people's opinion's more than his own opinions, or that he is waiting for someone else to say something about another player (like WW) in order to form an opinion of that player. These seem to indicate a scum frame of mind to me because a) town trust themselves over other players for the most part (not knowing who else is town) and b) scum are trying to appease town while staying on a mislynch, so they are always waiting for a plausible but incorrect theory to add their vote onto.

In other words, LaLight is basically not scum hunting at all, seems like he already knows who the scum are.

Roadrunner has one towny post, where he asks if using posts from the RSP forum would constitute cheating. I wonder whether that question occurs to him as scum. However, his other posts are either null or scummy, and I actually happen to remember that he's asked that very same question in the past, so I'm leaning scum on him now I GUESS. (I hate to vote RR.)

so my new scum list might be: Lalight, Joseph, RR where J Reggie and WW slipped into null and my towns are Faust > II > Schadd > Space ...............................and who am I forgetting?

Man, I'm literally the only one pushing this game forward. If anyone can count the posts, I'd look on the final count. I think I have more posts that everyone else summed. I'm not lurker here, I'm not scum here, I'm trying to understand who is making the game go slower. I am trying to pull words out of the people saying that I will listen to their opinion on everybody. Why town on LaLight?

I don't know.  To me it really just seems like newbtown!LaLight.  If you look at his game where he was the tracker (Olympics), he was very concerned about what people were thinking about him, and other than the tracking case on RR, he didn't really come up with any cases.  He actually said that he had the tracker result and then waited for other people to do something with it.
