well first off, it is very possible that i am wrong on some or all of this. this is just how i have read the information available regarding
TrueSkill. basically, TrueSkill tries to fit all of the available players skill levels into a normal bell curve. that is, the majority of players will sit at some level x, with a tendency to see less and less of certain levels as you move further from that center point.
now, because of the massive influx of new players to Isotropic over time, you will see more total players pushing the boundaries on the edges of the bell curve. this can be evidenced practically by both the increase in peak level over time as well as by the increase of players falling into the level 35-40 and 40-45 buckets.
