I don't have a simulator, but in mirror matches and in games where the opponent doesn't counter, what are the optimal plays for Cultist BM?

The default script in Geronimoo's simulator seems to have it basically right. Buy at least 3 cultists, buy gold, buy provinces. There's not much else happening and the mirror changes little.

Well timing when to start rushing duchies is complicated but in cultist games details dont matter much. its buy cultist on 5+ while it could give ruin  Then it comes to shuffle luck where are cultists, for 7/3 ruin split and you will win even with poor greening strategy. Its matters bit for 6/4 split which is bit rarer and 5/5 split its quite rare to matter

definitely once ruins run out, buy gold over cultist (read: lab-bm is entirely not a thing) as well as when you don't think you would be able to play the cultist before ruins become empty (i.e., the beginning of the shuffle). indeed, none of these things matter and cultist games are just not fun if there isn't much of another thing, and the emotional effect of buying cultists probably outweighs the strategical one at some point.

I thought you thought it was a slip because I said 'Jake's partners' instead of 'Roadrunner7671.'

I guess in theory you should if the Ruins pile is empty and your cards are worse than Copper on average.

Bomb, Cannon, and many of the Gunpowder cards can strongly effect gameplay, particularly in a destructive way

Or if will be worse than copper on average over the rest of the game.

Also note that Cultists aren't quite labs because they don't let you play a ruin.
