Making trivially false statements is another.

Making trivially false statements is necessary to give high-level Dominion advice without making it so vague that it's entirely useless for any practical applications.

Not at all.

"The effect of Farming Village is so minimal that it may as well be a vanilla Village."  That statement gets the same point across without being trivially false.

But that's pretty much what I've been saying.

Pretty much, but not exactly.  That's the point. :P

Oh, come on, "pretty much" and "exactly", that's essentially the same.

Essentially, sure, but not quintessentially!

It's at least 90--93% the same, considering how short life is.

You've all hit the nail more-or-less right on the head.

You've all hit the nail more-or-less right on the head.

You've managed to put into words the perfect approximation of what I was thinking.
