Fake hammers are scummy

Vote: gkrieg

I don't see how it was scummy. We got some good posts from people who thought it was twilight. I was hoping for something more telling from Joseph while he thought he had been lynched. All in all, the fakehammer was beneficial for town and I wish we had gone longer before someone pointed out it was fake.
Wait, it's a fakehammer?
Scummy, Vote: Gkrieg.

Joseph doesn't know what he's doing. Come on. He's just following along with whatever is happening. That's such poor play, I can't give him anything but town points. As Haddock said before, if he is scum, we'll know sooner or later.

vote: Joseph
Was that the hammer? If so, it was so bad.

I mean how the hell did we get a lynch in 27 hours?

Frustrated because the lynch was so early, not because it was on town.

Hmm. You've got a point.

On second thought, e is also such a great player, good enough to not throw away his cover on some petty issue regarding Joseph's fake hammer. Man, I just am not sure if e is scum or not at all after all. I mean, what he said was bad, and it's D1. But regarding all that has happened, we should be able to make a really good choice here for a D1 lynch.

I can understand the Joseph case, I really can. And I'd be down for it. I just don't think the evidence is as damning as Awaclus thinks it is. I think we can do a better D1 lynch than Joseph. I think e is a great choice based off of that whole "fakehammering is scummy" thing, but that he said that just seems so wrong to me. I need some input. Am I reading too much into this? :p

I guess I am in the minority here of people who think that fake hammering is just not good.  Oh, it gets us "honest reads."  Maybe.  Maybe not.  Maybe scum just play it up.  For example, reggie knew the whole time it wasn't the hammer.  I mean, how easy is it to come up with some fake twilight reads or whatever that can influence the game. Ok, maybe not that easy, but still.

Maybe I just irrationally don't like fake hammering.

Man. I had four strips of bacon yesterday. Was one automatically undercooked, one automatically overcooked? No, let's put a stop to that right here, all four strips were excellent.

I agree that doing it is not a good idea. I also don't think it's the sort of thing that a scum player does.

Well, you can play WIFOM with just about everything in this game. Sometimes, you have to take risks. If you do that trick every time, you'll get burned. But I don't see how it is a bad concept in itself.

e has a valid point anyays, and I present the example of Silverspawn. He has mastered the art of making fake hammering votes that are misspelled. Everyone knows about those, and I wouldn't trust any sort of reaction from that nowadays.

You didn't answer my question from before:

Do you think Reggie is the scummiest person on the Joseph wagon?

Well, that was fun to read. Somewhat paranoic at the moment I think as I came out with mostly scum reads on people out of all this debacle

Not necessarily what scum would do, but it's anti-town.
An lynching an anti-town player D1 isn't the worst decision.

I'd prefer to lynch anti-town rather than pro-town.
Although obviously I'd like to lynch scum, it doesn't happen that often D1.

err anyway on the game.

I'm with pingpong (I think?); Joseph's talk about lynching anti town players is pretty ridiculous. No idea how many votes he has right now, let me get up a count before I vote.

gah I can't. RR isn't including the Not Voting people in his vote counts, that ruins everything  :'(

Eh. I'll wait for the official one, then.

I also agree that e is pretty opportunistic

ii is making sense right now, don't understand the vote on him.

ADK is making even more sense. That's almost scary.

Joseph, you can try to redeem yourself by explaining a bit more. Do you honestly think that just because someone has a theoretical disagreement with you (on a subject where you're clearly wrong, no less *cough*) he deserves to be policy lynched? If not, then what was this all about?

And you still didn't answer my question of why you self-voted. You only talked about why you might not, but not why you might want.

I self-voted at the start, obvious RVS. Don't know what else to say about it.

No I don't think someone should be policy-lynched, although I do believe that fakehammers are anti-town. They almost never give any information, as if I was scum, I wouldn't reveal it even if I thought i was lynched. Right now, anti-town seems like the best person I can vote for, as I don't currently have any scum reads.
