I would open silver/silver then proceed to get more silvers and golds then eventually turn to provinces. I wouldn't be happy about it though.

Get Golems to help cycle your deck faster.  The best thing is that you can't even Prince Golem, so even that isn't a trick.

This reminds me of people that brag about how great they are, but in reality can't do anything on their own...

I would be. Building engines is stressful.

I have been upset with how people have used their free speech because
1.) They had a belief I didn't agree with me.
2.) They insulted me.
3.) They used coarse language.
4.) They were deceitful.
5.) I thought they were stupid.
6.) They were impolite to me.

Somehow I can't fit OP into any of these categories, but I want to whine to theory to ban OP from the forums or quit the forums over this thread.

Unless you have 100 Scouts, that game will be over on like turn 3, with no winners.

No, correct play would still be a BMU mirror.  If PPR causes a really long Duchy dance then and only then, some of the Scouts might come of the table. But most of the time not.

No, he's saying you have ten piles each with one scout, so 3-pile happens quickly. That is actually an interesting game; surely you don't buy scouts right away, but you might make a beeline for the duchies and scouts.

You can easily replace Royal Carriage and CotR with, say, rats and talisman. No, you don't want to open Talisman/Silver.

You could also just use Village, Walled Village, Border Village, and Fortress. Talisman at least gives you a decision to think about, even if it's not the right move.

Ahh, but this allows you to potentially increase handsize, fortress in particular. Still probably not worth it, but there's a better chance than with talisman. You could use, say, fairgrounds instead of talisman if you want (You will never have more than 7 uniques unless you go out of your way, which isn't worth it).

Bah. I'd like to see a KC-Village engine just to draw an extra card. But ok fine, get rid of KC. Pretty sure there's enough villages to go around that don't provide extra benefit. Either way, I'm pretty sure that Talisman would have a better chance than KC-Village. You are going to be buying a lot of Silvers in that game; getting 2 for 1 could be helpful.

Hitting TR in place of one or both Villages can have the same effect if it plays a Village in hand.

Throne Room, Village, Walled Village, Fortress, Quarry, Rats, University, Band of Misfits, Border Village...

I can't find a perfect 10th card outside of Adventures. King's Court and Prince almost certainly wouldn't be worth getting, but it's still a decision. Lighthouse and Fishing Village are almost certainly going to be worse than Silver, but you might still consider it them. Philosopher's Stone will almost certainly lose as well; but it's not completely obvious.

No, correct play would still be a BMU mirror.  If PPR causes a really long Duchy dance then and only then, some of the Scouts might come of the table. But most of the time not.

I understood, and I stick to my point.  Making a beeline for Duchies isn't correct play, you won't be able to get enough of a VP lead that you can spend 12$ on scouts and close it out while ahead.

Buying Duchies or buying Scouts is easily countered if the player who didn't buy a Scout stays only one Duchy behind.

The kingdom has no +Buy, so with BM it will be Adam's favorite, luck of the draw.

So, on T3, buy the last Scout, and start a new game.

If you hit $2 early on, you would want a Pearl Diver instead of nothing. I thought the exact same thing about Stonemason; with the same conclusion. Or even just turning a Silver into 2 Estates towards the very end. Still probably not worth buying, but at least an actual decision that needs to be made.

Pretty sure that Prince is the best candidate for the last card. Even though you could use it to start your turns with a larger hand, it's just such a terrible idea. Buying a completely worthless Village instead of a Silver, then buying an $8 card instead of a Province, then hoping that they eventually line up, all so that you can basically have played a Hireling, a $6 card.

Scheme!!

Throne Room, Village, Walled Village, Fortress, Quarry, Rats, University, Band of Misfits, Border Village, Scheme.

BAM. There shouldn't any real decisions at all to make here. No possible combination of cards could improve your hand at any time beyond 5 cards, and those 5 cards can't ever be more helpful than pure treasure. Towards the end of the game you could buy a Border Village for $6 instead of a Duchy for $6, just for the fun of it.

I'd replace Fortress if possible. I can't think of a reason to want to do this, but Rats + 1 Fortress + at most 3 non-Rats cards lets you pile out Rats in one turn.

Or in general just thin down as long as you have fortress in hand whenever you have rats in hand once you are done thinning.

You could have procession instead of Fortress, but then Procession/Rats would be a (terrible) thing.

I just tried this with Wandering Minstrel instead of WV (because I don't have WV on goko.)  All 3 bots opened Potion/Silver.  Then Banker Bot lost the game by piling out the 3rd pile without having enough money to pass me on VP.   ::)

You should, too, because it gives you more control over your reshuffles.
