It's perfectly reasonable to call trashers chapels just like we call Fishing Village a village even though it doesn't have +1 Card like Village does.

The one woman at the table wants to buy something, and the guy sitting next to her looks over at her hand and says "you have money left over, you should spend it!" and the other guys agree, and throw the card they think she should buy at her. They never look at each other's hands and criticize each other's play, but they feel the need to play the game for her and give her terrible advice. After T3 I couldn't watch any more of the video.

Yeah that was painful, and they have been criticised for that before.

So after she clearly has a Treasure lead, they deny her buying a Magpie? I don't mind offering suggestions, but they clearly said "no, you have to buy this!"

The defining characteristic of a Village is that it gives you +Action, not +Card.

Yes, and? The defining characteristic of a Chapel is that it trashes.

People around here call things that give you +2 Actions "villages" because most of the cards that do this have "village" in their name. I have my own slightly different definition of "village" (as do most of us) because I find it more useful. It seems people are taking offense to the similar use of "chapel" to define trashers because most trashers don't have "chapel" in their name.

Great, people call things different stuff. We can gripe about the use of unclear terminology in the video, when they say something clearly wrong (which they do quite a bit of) but saying it's "like a chapel" or "it's a chapel" isn't all THAT ridiculous. It's just different than what you like. Man, can't we all just hug it out instead of arguing that our own terminology is best?

His terminology didn't bother me. Giving incorrect instructions bothered me.

Holy crap that's an hour long episode.  I just don't understand how these sorts of shows can just go on for that long.  Have they not heard of editing?

EDIT: Ohmigod he just called Ratcatcher a Village

Yeah.

I prefer Wil Weaton's format, where he talks a bit about the rules - so that you can grasp what is happening, and sometimes explains a bit more during the gameplay, he than covers gameplay by playing a few turns real-time, step by step, than fast forwards to the interesting bits.

What is Harry Crane from Mad Men doing in this video?

He's playing Dominion: Adventures.

He's a huge boardgamer and a great guy.

One reason it's long is because every single board game reviewer ever thinks they have to explain the rules of the game for 20 minutes.  It's one reason I don't watch/read a ton of reviews.

Try shutupandsitdown. Their goofy, somewhat absurdist humor is often a turn-off for some (though I think the average f.ds-er would like it), but their reviews place a heavy focus on "how does this game feel" and "what experience does playing this game create."

Yes, I read SASD, though I've only read a few beyond the games I've played.  It's a good review site that shows what can actually be said in a review of board games without resorting to summary.
