Journey token Cards

It seems to me from the Giant preview, the Journey token is a way to add some variance to a card. So, does anyone have any Journey token card ideas that would be cool/may be done in Adventures? Here's one I had (inspired by the Throne Room to draw 5 cards teaser):

$5 Vagabond
Action

+1 Action
Turn your journey token over (it starts face up). If it is face down, +1 Card. If it is faceup, +4 Cards.

Probably too strong. Maybe if the +action only happened with the up side... or, perhaps if it only happened with the down side.

Hm, you're probably right. If they're stackable with +Action, it becomes too easy to flip the token. A potential change could be:

$5 Vagabond
Action

Turn your journey token over (it starts face up). If it is face down, +2 Cards. If it is face up, +3 Cards, + 1 Action.

Anyway, it's just a random idea I had. Idon't want this thread to be all about discussing Vagabond - feel free to post your own card ideas!

I feel like this is an attempt to solve the "Draws 5 cards when Throned" card.

However, with the theme of the topic:

Card Name - $Cost
Action

Each player turns their Journey Token face up. If you did, +1 Action. If anyone else did, +2 Cards.

$5 - Traveling Actors
Action

Turn your journey token over (it starts face up). If it is face down, discard a card. If it is faceup, +3 Cards, and you may play an Action card from your hand twice.

This doesn't do anything without another Journey Token card, right?  But I think there's a cool idea there somewhere.  Something like:

Card Name - $4 Action

Turn your Journey Token face-up.  If you didn't, [bonus].  Each other player turns his Journey Token face-down.  If anyone did, [bonus].

Then it does both bonuses the first time you play it, and then does just the first bonus each subsequent time, if no one else is playing them.  But if someone else is playing them, then it switches to the other bonus.  You could probably come up with a cool card from that.

This seems like it might be a cool way to do an attack that can only hit once until someone hits you with it. "If your X token is face up, turn it face down and each other player gains a Curse and turns his X token face up." Obviously "gains a Curse" could be some other attack and the card should have a further bonus. Maybe it only has a bonus if you didn't turn your token down.

Mix it Up
$2 Event

+1 Buy
Each player flips his Journey token, as a coin, and leaves it in its resulting state.

This wouldn't do anything at all on 99% of boards.

I thought it was understood that I was dipping into really bad card ideas.

Hey, sometimes you just need a cheap source of +Buy.

Gambling Den
$4 Event
+1 Buy
Flip all 6 Journey tokens, as a coin.  +$1 for each face-up Journey token.

You get your Buy back, so you can keep gambling as long as you can afford it.  You spend $4 to make an average of $3 back, but maybe you'll get lucky and turn a profit.  If the Journey tokens are used for anything else, it can mix it up.  The other players could flip their own tokens for the sake of expediency, but that's not as fun.

For the record, I don't think something so luck-driven (and time-consuming) would appear in official Dominion.  It could be fun though, and could work as a promo maybe.

Doorway
$4 - Action

Turn over your Journey token (it starts face up).  If it's face down, +3 Actions.  If it's face up, +3 Cards.

I think that's worth $3 at the very most. +3 Cards is Smithy, so obviously that's worth $4. +3 Actions might be an OK $2 card, but probably on the weak side. And it's not like Nobles where you can choose which one you get.

If it were Village or Lab depending on which side was up, that's easily $4. But if it's [+3 Actions] or Smithy, it's way less likely they'll line up correctly. Probably a $3 card, but it might work at $2.

I'd love to play with this.

I wonder if the better way to make this card is to just ditch the Journey token part and do Choose 1: +2 Actions or +2 Cards for $3 or something (though I'm 99% sure a mini-Nobles like this has been posted on the forums before).

Seagull - $5
Action - Attack - Victory

If your journey token is face down, turn it face up, and each other player turns their journey token face down.
Otherwise, gain a Seagull.
----
At the end of the game, if your journey token is face up, this card is worth 3VP, otherwise it is worth 1VP.
