Good luck, edgecasers!

You needed to empty a third pile to end the game with a lead. Opponent had previously used KC-Embargo to embargo every pile except Tribute.

Er, GendoIkari, if all of the other piles were KC-Embargoed, you'd probably buy out the curses as that would take the least time. If you have the money to buy out the tributes really fast, why are you worried about the golden deck catching up?

So tell me about this Golden Deck that has KC and Embargo in it.

It's Grand Market-Grand Market-KC-Embargo-Bishop-Province. Every turn buy province and embargo.

Edit: It's pretty weak if the provinces get embargoed.

You are only winning by 1 point. You can't afford to take any Curses. And you have a couple Quarries in play; you can't afford to buy out any Victory pile.

Edge case...............

Yeah I got nothing. I'm quite sure that no matter what else is in the Kingdom, this is going to lose to Big Money.

You're trying to do that thing where you never reshuffle the whole game using mandarin and inn and probably hamlet.

Well yeah but I wouldn't count puzzles.... if you did, you could take any situation in the world and say that it's the right move so long as you're doing a puzzle that requires you to do that move.

Yeah I got nothing. I'm quite sure that no matter what else is in the Kingdom, this is going to lose to Big Money.

Actually the sim has 10 Mandarin, 5/2 start beat Big Money 4/3 start > 0.5% of the time ;)

So therefore 10 Mandarin can beat Big Money and is a valid strat!

The problem is that I don't think it beats BM+3 or 4 mandarins.

I mean, it doesn't make sense to buy 10 instead if 3.

But when you buy Inns and put them in your draw-pile, you have to shuffle (but maybe not REshuffle, I don't know...).

To join the edgecasers:

Your opponent has more points than you, because of Goons. And there are two piles emptied and all other piles except Harem, Great Halls and Nobles are down by one card. But you have a Maskerade-Goon-pin, so it is the only way to win. (And as your opponent don't have a Tribute anymore, it doesn't hurt.)

You need to specify that one of the empty piles is curse. Possibly also copper.
