Okay, my max expected damage over the next 2 turns (depending on what I draw obviously):
I play Iso Transducer this turn...Legacy hits me for 5 fire damage and I hit him back for 6 cold.
I play Frostbound Drain and hit him for 4 damage next turn, then become incapacitated from the fire damage to myself.
Total: 10 damage (8 with DR), and I'm KO'd. (could be 1 higher)
(Note: if I get KO'd on his turn, I can still activate Expat for 4 damage, or someone else if they can do more...so that doesn't actually change my damage output).
Alternative Plays:
1. I play Frostbound Drain now and hit him for 4 damage unreduced. I get KO'd on his turn, and activate expat next turn. total 8 (7 with DR).
Okay, here's an option (I think?)
I play Null-point this turn. Two possibilities:
1. IL hits everyone first. Then I should probably take a damaging hit first, then heal. My total HP probably ends around 8-9HP.
2. IL doesn't hit everyone first, then I take a healing hit, my total HP ends around 14HP.
Either way, next turn Visionary plays Twist the Ether on me.
I play Isothermic Transducer. I deal myself 1 Fire damage (7 OR 13HP)
I twist the cold to fire+1 and hit myself again for 2 HP (5 OR 11 HP)
Twist to fire+1 hit myself for 3 HP (2 or 8HP)
1. ends: Twist to fire+1 hit IL for 5 damage
2. keeps going: Twist to fire+1 hit myself for 4HP (4HP remaining)
then hits IL for 6HP total.
Which is 4 or 5 damage given Damage Reduction.
That should be able to drop me back to lowest HP again to absorb IL's next hit also if we don't take him out.
So, I can be super-defense with mild offense if I play Null-Point now.
Or I can go down in a blaze of glory.
I'm leaning towards blaze of glory, as I think that's our best bet to win. And if I don't die before my next turn, I could always play null-point then if it's not looking like it will work out...which would keep me alive and absorbing his hits pretty effectively from then on (one fire torching him back, switched with ice to heal me up)
It'd just be nice if we hadn't dropped to <10 HPs already to start the sequence.
