Anyone feel like making this funnier for me by explaining the joke?

And i thought he was dancing to power house music in his powerhouse. Or, as he was doing cell stuff, in the powerhouse of the cell. You know, the Mitochondrion.

That... wasn't all that helpful.

The sodium/potassium pump (or Na/K pump) is found in polarizable membranes in your body, so mostly in neurons.  The pump keeps the cell polarized in two ways.  First, it moves sodium out and potassium in, creating a chemical gradient of both ions.  Second, it moves more positive ions in than out, so there's also an electrical gradient across the cell membrane.  One cycle of the pump uses the energy from one molecule of ATP.

I've no idea what's up with the dancing or the lighting.

Pretty sure that's exactly what I said:

YouTube Video about Surviving Town Center Fire

(If timestamp doesn't work, skip to 4:15)

No knowledge of Age of Empires is needed to enjoy this.

So I got back into Age of Empires II because of this post. Played some against the computer, haven't played online yet. I just wanted to share this vid:

Well worth the 2 hours (!) to watch the entire saga IMO.

I watched that video a number of months back. I can confirm, it's a ridiculous game. I'm pretty sure you can almost tell the story of human civilisation through it as well, if you pick what each player represents carefully.

...spin-offs are still better for all of the previously cited reasons.
But not strictly better, because the spinoff can have a different cost than the expansion.

I was reminded of a Laurie Anderson bit from Stories from the Nerve Bible, about Jesse Helms and his reaction to Robert Mapplethorpe's provocative stuff. "We're not going to look at this, and you're not going to look at it either."

I wanted to get the quote right (then didn't post it, no points for guessing where). So I google'd "laurie anderson big black dick" (the name of the piece).

Google made me verify that I wasn't a bot. I didn't know that was a thing. Apparently all the robots want to see Laurie Anderson getting it on, or at least find out what she has to say about Jesse Helms.

This weekend is the Midwest GameFest, and I'll be running my D&D adventure where each player is a familiar without his wizard. I'm looking forward to it.

I've been playing the title theme for Them's Fightin' Herds for the past few days. I can't decide if it's a good song or not; I might be giving it a free pass because it's tangentially related to MLP.
