Ignore this comment. When Kud referred to the IQ test, I did a simple google search and took the first FREE test online. Just now I took the Facebook test, and I'm positive I got most (if not all) of the answers right. But then I was hit by a paywall. And here's where the real test begins. I passed because I didn't pay.

IQ tests mean nothing anyway. I passed one when I was 10 or so, and there were vocabulary questions... the sheer stupidity of including vocabulary in something supposed to measure "intelligence" (an already vague, ill-defined concept) completely discredited them for me.

I'm pretty sure IQ tests almost always mean something. A higher result will certainly mean a higher intelligence on average, it's just a question of accuracy, which can go from very low to I have no idea how high, that's the interesting question. It certainly never reaches 100%.

I took one IQ test online that seemed pretty good.  It was long, and gave me an answer that I wasn't surprised at (given the definition of IQ).  I tried a bunch of other ones, and they were all horrible (one of which was short saying "Your IQ is some big number, or maybe even MORE!  Buy our full test to get more definite results.").

That's the kind of person they're after. Joining Mensa instills in one a courtly benevolence toward nonmembers, who would pretend to know what you know, think what you think, and stultify what you perambulate.

I worried about the arbitrary 132 cut-off point, until I met someone with an I.Q. of 131 and, honestly, he was a bit slow on the uptake.
