Now that I've been in one, that article makes sense to me.

It was interesting. I really did only have one thing to purchase. I could have just walked in and out--after asking where Borris is--but I figured I should at least meander. I didn't know about the labyrinthine path. I found the concept clever, and the article highlights that cleverness. It's an insidious plot to get you to see all sorts of shit you probably don't need.

I found the model homes interesting. Here's how you can live in 280 sq ft. As someone who lives in a space not even triple that, I found it relevant to my interests. I do like the idea of wardrobes going to the ceiling.

IKEA is fine.  It's just a big store now.  It was a "cool kids only" thing before, but really, it's just accessible, cheap furniture.  Plus, the food court is great.

Dude is pretty awesome.  But I don't remember ever putting my arrows on the left side of the bow. I suppose it's possible I was doing it wrong for many years though.

1 and 3 dont seem to apply to my local IKEA, its in the middle of a massive retail district. Also, the food court is right at the end, so you dont get to it until after you have been through 90% of the store.

And 4 is every furniture store ever isn't it?

2 is funny, I once got to the end of my local IKEA and the lift wasn't working to get back down the first floor, and they were sending everyone all the way back to the middle of the store again to the other lift. I took my Nan in the wheelchair down one of those slope escalators they had instead, but steep but I managed to hang on, she loved the ride!

Finally I'll get to play in a Mutants and Masterminds campaign. As far as d20 systems go, I still feel this is the best one, but it is crunchy-intimidating.

Making a voodoo priest character who can bop people to sleep with his staff (and it hurts even if the person is mean and doesn't fall asleep). Ought to be fun.
