I just played my first game of Dominion is months and I won pretty convincingly. After the game I said my customary "gg" and clicked done but not before seeing my opponent say "no". I'm glad I didn't catch what he was about to say after that.

Oooh! A return to the online etiquette debate. I've heard a number of people say that they consider it poor form to say "gg" as the winner before the loser says "gg." Personally, I would not be offended, but I have changed my behaviour so as to avoid causing offense to others.

I say it even if I lose, but yeah I'm not going to get into that whole debate.

I think we'd be far better off without "gg" (and "glhf" for that matter). But I recognize that "gg" is here to stay, so here's how I use it.

• If I lose a game, I will say "gg" usually followed by "Well played." In this case, "gg" means "Thanks for playing this game with me".
• If I win a game and my opponent says "gg" and doesn't immediately leave, I will say "gg" back. In this case, "gg" means "Thank you for not leaving right after saying "gg".
• In rare cases, if a game has been extremely close and interesting, I will say "gg" even if I have won. In this case, "gg" means "That was a good game."
• In very rare cases, I will say "gg" even if none of the above apply. In these cases, "gg" means "That's right, fuckwad! I beat your goddamn bog-standard Minion enigne! How does that taste, you incredible asshole!?"

EDIT: • I also say it right before I ragequit. Sort of a courtesy so they're not caught off-guard when I ragequit.

Hey, everything but that last one is what I do!  My best story is after winning through pure tournament luck, I said "I feel like I shouldn't say gg..." and he replied "agreed." and left.

Nope, that's just nonsense. Scumhunting is always at the very worst the same as random lynch, which is what they are suggesting. How much better than random lynch it actually is I don't think is very much, but it is still better.

EDIT: I went and read the rest of the article. The one about Memory might have been interesting if they actually explained it, but instead they said "AAHHHH! MATH IS SCARY!"

I got LBP3 free with my PS4.  It's cool if you like kids platformers.  It does have a minecraft mode if you like that.

The problem with the strategy they're suggesting is that all scum has to do is kill the people lower on the list than them, so it's not just a matter of making sure the last person is town. Suppose you have a game with 2 mafia and 7 town- in order for the "random list" to result in a town win, both of the mafia players have to be in the first four players on the list, which gives very good odds for mafia. Picking someone random every day might be more successful, but I think most setups are meant to be balanced that randomness works out at least slightly in scum's favor.
