I'm guessing it's just expensive to have a product certified as safe for children.

The age on the box is 14+ rather than 8+; that's a necessary move to avoid raising the price due to awful laws in the US that protect us from killing our children with Dominion cards.

What law is this? Things for children aren't allowed to be affordable?

Should've thought of that.

I read up to where it said it was signed off by George W. Bush, then realised it must be stupid.

Har Har har. Read the sponsors list. This is one of those highly coveted bipartisan bills everyone wishes we had more of. I believe the commission that issued the findings was Waxmans.

I was so angry when this passed. Made me almost as angry a the light bulb ban. Another bipartisan jewel.

Just sharing this because I love the rendition of this song. I love the production value of it too. You don't even have to watch the show to appreciate this (I hope).

Just another Onion short I found funny.

http://www.theonion.com/articles/guard-in-video-game-under-strict-orders-to-repeate,37177/

The international press interviewing a low-ranked soldier? A soldier claiming he cannot stray from his duty has time for a press conference? This seems like a giant hoax.

I'm sure the guy isn't on duty 24/7. He can give an interview during lunch or whatever. People get interviewed by reporters without the need for a press conference all the time.

Have you sat there for over 24 hours, watching the whole time to make sure there isn't a shift change?

I am totally doing this if I ever make a video game of this type.

No-kills walkthrough:

Go straight, then turn left, open the door, hide in the box close to the guard looking straight at the next door with his back to you, leave the game running 24 hours sharp, open the door after the guard leaves, go straight again...

I just went into a ridiculously overpriced toy/game store. $50 for Majora's Mask. $28 for GBA Pokemon. $100 for an NES. Thanks but not thanks.

The real trick is to bring enough food and to somehow mask the scent of your excrement from the pacing guard.

I have never played Metal Gear Solid 3, but I watched my roommate play some of it in college. In that game, one of the boss fights is a sniper battle against a very old man. The battle takes place in three large, forested areas and both of you are wearing camouflage. From my vantage as a spectator, the whole thing looked very epic.

Anyway, apparently you can start that battle, save your game, and wait three (real-world) days. When you load your save, the boss will have died from old age. You don't get very good loot by killing him that way, but I think it's awesome that it's even an option.

Those prices don't sound that high, tbh. A quick ebay search seems like those prices are pretty accurate. If you want a NES you probably should get one of those newer third party consoles, looks like it's around $50. http://www.nintendosforsale.com/NES-and-SNES-Combo-Console-FC-Twin-p/12.htm?gclid=Cj0KEQjwtvihBRCd8fyrtfHRlJEBEiQAQcubtEgKrJPt6HCxCa1s_dhv4WfaXyooSoFy8JkwAOGIvX0aAkW98P8HAQ
