I had similar issues when I upgraded to Win8 but it's fixed now.

Chrome is of the latest version, and I tried the suggestions in that link, but they didn't do anything.  For clarity, it's not all sites in Chrome.. it's only those Google sites.  Most other web pages render fine.

Well, that led me to turning on ClearType, which did solve the issue. Google's font is now readable.

Though it makes this page look... glossier or something.

Yes, although if I was striving for accuracy I would've said "simply craptacular" instead of just "craptacular".

Oh no. I didn't realize there were people like that. The only two ways I could imagine pronouncing it would be et setera or et ketera (hard or soft c).

Depending on who you ask, the c before an e in non-Classical Latin might be pronounced as s, k, ts, or ch.

I just tried my first expresso today! It's a mute point, but I should of tried it sooner. I might start drinking it alot, irregardless of if I need the energy or not. For all intensive purposes, I could care less what people think about my caffeine consumption.
