Okay I have time for a quick re-read. silverspawn looks like a good start.

I think there's a reasonable chance he is scum, enough to be worth it on average. Anyone wanna hammer?

Yeahhh... what exactly was the point of that? We have more than a week to actually discuss things.
yea you're right.

unvote

Quick change of mind.

Quote
I would note the first unvote to take a player out of the imaginary danger zone of L-1 is wholeheartedly scummier than any single voter on said wagon.
yes i realized that after i did it. the smart thing would have been to not answer that post. I completely understand if it makes me look like scum.

the reason i did it is, because I didn't really consider how much time we have left. isn't it likely that after a few days, there's someone with a higher probability of being scum? if not, we can still lynch him

A little self-conscious.

no... there is actually some way in which i think we can abuse the system to find out more, I wanted to wait until its more active to post it. but either way, i dont think lynching someone now is a good idea. ash could be scum but he could totally be town too.

This is after he was asking for a hammerer.

i see it like this, we pressure ash, if we do end up lynching him and he's town, we lynch robz afterwards. I still suspect him more, but if he's right about ash, that pretty much confirms his good intentions.

if both of them are town that sucks, but well you can't have no risks.

Calling for multiple lynches is one of those things that are so inherently scummy that most scum know not to do it. Which of course means that someone doing it becomes a big ball of WIFOM.

I thought that my town slip makes it very unlikely that I'm scum, but if you think I am, you should try to lynch me.

Trying to hold on to Towncred, while at the same time seeming okay with being lynched.

hm, I'll be away for a couple of days. heavy metal festival (summerbreeze). probably wont be able to post there. try not to lynch me until I'm back please.

So when you get back we can lynch you?

but of course <3

Again seemingly okay with being lynched.

I think overall I get a slight scum vibe. The biggest thing for me is his repeatedly pointing out that he's not worried about being lynched. I can see scum making an effort to not stress about being lynched.

That, coupled with my limited time and energy, is enough for a vote for now. Vote: silverspawn

I think this is semi-lazy, disengaged town Jimm. Surely scum Jimm does something more creative than re-reading one person and finding that person scummy.

Dude... why silverspawn? And why reread just one person? If that's not scummy I don't know what is.

I agree with Andrew. It seems like scum!Jimmmmm sees an alternative wagon to his and then does a reread to justify why he's putting a vote there.

This is true, I think that's pretty much how he played SUper Mario Mafia as scum.

Yep, was bysy lately and would be even more busy until Monday, so:

My top scum read based on this thread is silverspawn, through Robz unvote seems so strange for me.

vote: silver for now

Does Andrew act like this normally? I've only been in. Game with him once really and it was a bm game. He felt pretty confident it seemed that Asher was scum and has now jumped onto jimmm. Just feels weird to me

For anyone else, such a statement would be a scum tell.  For Hydrad, it's simply a tell that you're reading something from Hydrad.

I'm here now. Sorry for the time out, as i said, i was on a festival.

I'm on vacation now, but I do have internet, so I should be able to post again. Obviously things weren't moving without me  :P

I wanted to use the long post I was referring to earlier as a defense, but I'm on vacation, and don't have access to it... which sucks. I am worried about being lynched; what I was saying was that you shouldn't refrain from lynching me just because I'm a noobie, and I stand by that. Being a noobie doesn't make being scum any less likely.

I guess I can adress the "too-self-conscious" argument too, but to be honest, I don't even get why that makes me scummy. Being lynched is a possiblity, I am aware of that possibility, so naturally I'm self concious about that stuff. I don't get why I shouldn't.

So, dunno, I'm not scum. The unvote was stupid, I shouldn't have done it, so I don't have any big defense for that. The reason I was trying to lynch ash so much was mostly robz post (I said that before though), it was just really convincing.

I think it's unlikely that ash was lynched withot any help of scum, so I'd say we should focus on the people that voted for him. I'm one of them, so that's a start.

Usually when you try to defend I think you try and make it so you arnt a option to be lynched. But you kinda made it sous like you can't find a reason why you shouldn't be lynched so lynch you if we want.

I also have almost no experience in defending myself but just felt like this was a odd way to do it.

More people should be voting for Robz.  Here are some quotes from D1:

I will be outraged if anyone other than ash is lynched. That's all.

I'm not going to stop voting for him in any circumstance, so I don't particularly care whether he claims.

Just vote for ash. We are ready for night. Ash is our lynch.

And of course after that, he ends up unvoting ash, after saying he wouldn't unvote in any circumstance.  Robz's defense has to be that he lied as town.  It's not that it's impossible that that was a reasonable play, but man, a world where lying as town is reasonable makes it a lot harder to find scum.  (I'm aware that this is a different sort of lying than fakeclaiming as town, like shraeye did I think in that one game that just threw everything into chaos, but I think this is still pretty dangerous.)

I think that's just the way Robz has decided to take his playstyle lately. He seemed pretty convinced about me being scum in Mafia Forty Seven.

but that's not honest, and it goes against my strategy in this mafia, which is to always say what comes to mind without thinking a lot. i kinda try to be easy to read
