Is engine viable here?

Hi, I played a three player game on this board. A question here is if you could build an engine here despite junking? In three player game it does not seem viable as when two player rush igg with marauder in mix there is not enough time.

I would tend to agree that there's not enough time in 3p if both other players go for Marauder/IGG.
The 3 piles (Ruins, Curses and IGGs) will be gone so very fast.

There are also too many expensive cards, which makes it harder to get a huge hand and play some Goons megaturn. Having only City/Embassy for draw is not that enticing. Yeah, you could throw in some Cartographers and Apothecaries and Warehouses, but I don't think you have time for any of that as you have no pile control whatsover.

You should be happy if you can get a Duchy. Maybe you can skip IGG yourself?

The only "engine" I see you wanting is Warehouse/Cartographer to filter through all the junk. That should help you get a couple Duchies before piles run out. City may not be a terrible idea, but I don't think it will matter much by the time piles empty.

This is plain IGG+Goons. You've got to assume that both your opponents will play that. Marauder shouldn't come into it. Even so, with the game extended by the goons and very few ruins in the deck, there's nothing here for an engine. Of course if the players choose to play differently they will open up strategies for each other.
