Sometimes a Cigar is Just a Cigar

If you read too far into anything you can make up any sort of story you want. But occasionally a story is just that, a story. There may be parallels you can make between the way Monsters Inc. is run and other corporations in the real world, but that's because that's how corporations can sometimes be. There's no deep 1-to-1 correlation between the corporation, the monsters, or anything in the movie and the real world. It's just a story about how a couple monsters save a little girl and how along the way the monsters realize that their beliefs about what humans are are completely wrong.
