KC isn't really balanced.  It's a must buy on over 90% of the boards it appears on.  But most people find it fun to use, so it's like hey we're going to enjoy a KC mirror.

Those are some impressive extremes.  I get it 85% of the time, and think that's pretty reasonable.  Occasionally I reach for it when it's not worthwhile, but sometimes I'd like one but get crushed by attacks, so it evens out.

To discard or not to discard?  That is the question.

I like this suggestion.  I might swap out Throne Room (or possibly something else) for Worker's Village, and Mine for Vault: having another Village and +Buy source increases engine potential, but Vault also opens up another BM possibility, one that counters Rabble well.

Thanks for the suggestion, sounds interesting. Before seeing your post, I played some games with this kingdom.
I have to say, the "bridge megaturn" is a dominant strategy.
So I played with Swindler and Great Hall instead of Steward, and it is better : Baron and Mine are much more viables.
Thus, there are three different strategies which are, I think, fairly balanced :
- Loan, Throne room, Bridge, Village, Rabble (great but more fragile against Rabble and Swindler)
- Loan, Baron, Village, Rabble
- Loan, Mine, Hoard, Harem (Lord Bottington beat me with this strategy, but I was pretty unlucky)

That was what I meant. I also have something like 85% I think. The point is, it is not a must-buy in over 90% of the games. If it suits your playstyle, maybe it is, but this is because your play  supports KC extremly well. But if you want to beat this KC with some BigMoney, you can do this in more than 10% of the boards.

What I found most interesting is Marin gains Black Market in 93.8 percent of games and has a 1.2 win rate with it. Maybe Black Market is actually quite good, just no one knows how to use it  :o
