Yeah, after doing some rereading I definitely just think random is better. There's a chance it's not amazingly useful, but I think putting plans out there allows mafia to have some control over the game, which I am uncomfortable with. I don't think we can plan this out with any kind of certainty anyway, nor do I think we need to for town to win.

Today is obviously a lot more complicated than I thought. I have read everything but not closely enough to have strong opinions or input. I definitely want to lynch e and am guessing that's where we'll end up, but I will do a more close reread later on and hopefully have some thoughts.

Yeah, I cosign Galz here. I'm guessing the scum team is e and Hydrad/Joseph, with an outside shot of Robz.

What's cool is that there's exactly one, and only one, scum in:

Dsell
Mcmc
Galzria
Hydrad
Robz
Joseph

And Mcmc is virtually IC.

Very much agree that e's explanation was scummy as hell.

I actually think we should just lynch e
Might as well wait for the claimed cops to give results first

That’s why I am not voting him.

Also there was a fire in my house, electricity is off, my computer is charged off and i have last 10% on my phone

Oh my god, I'm so sorry. Hope everyone is ok and you didn't lose too much.

Each city will be given one of the three cop flavor names that is not randomly given to the three town cops.

Dsell, please read this carefully

Ahhhh shit I forgot city meant cop. Sorry all.

City meant *mafia

I can't tell what's different about the flavor, though I haven't read it closely. Okay, sure, I suppose we should do this. Sort of sucks if the mod gave scum fake claims that don't work for cop, though.

Please, read, what I posted above.

Oh, yeah. That supports my initial argument, that this is pointless and we shouldn't do it, yes?

Dude no. To spell it out: there are 6 choices. 5 now. If the scum chooses first, or even second, there is a chance that they'll pick one that an actual cop has. So we can then know scum between 2 rather than 3 cops.

I think claimed cops should do a flavor claim and I think Mcmc should choose the order.

Ugh, why? Scum have fakeclaims.

Only of vanilla townie flavor. Read the setup.

Cops and vanilla townies have different flavor, in case that wasn't clear.

Hey friends! Does anybody still play/play together? I've been playing for a little less than a year. I mostly play support and mostly play Zyra. I'm not amazing but it's fun, especially to play with friends!

I also play a mobile moba.

My wife and I both still play! I believe theory still plays as well. I main adc so I would love to play sometime.

I added you and theory! Idk your wife's name but she can send me a request at DieselRunner. :D

I just tried Zilean for the first time and got an S-, so maybe I'll just main characters whose names start with Z's.

careful with spoilers, some of us are only in season 3.

Honestly, I think you're totally wrong. The underwear thing seems super in character to me.

Which is really one of the cruxes of the show, because of course on the inside there's nothing separating them.

That's not what I am getting out of this show at all. I think the show understands and demonstrates that there are smart and stupid people everywhere, and that's no different in prison than out of prison. The density of craziness and drug addiction is a bit higher but that's almost it. I'd say it shows that as a group the people in and outside of prison aren't that different. But that all people in prison are the same? Hell no.

Sorry, I didn't phrase that very well. I'm not saying they're not different - the super diverse cast of characters is what makes the show great. I am saying that on the outside they didn't run in the same circles, they existed in different spaces, in entirely different hemispheres of life. But inside, there is none of that separation. I agree with your point that there are smart and stupid people, good-intentioned and bad-intentioned people everywhere.

The main character is one of my least favorite characters in the show.

:'( why?

If I didn't like her, the show wouldn't even come close to being worth watching.

Mainly because she's whiny and holier-than-thou. She thinks she's better than most of the people in there and doesn't appear to take the time to realize that not much separates the stories of how they got there vs how she got there. Which is really one of the cruxes of the show, because of course on the inside there's nothing separating them. And then the cast of characters getting flashbacks shows that circumstance is often the reason people end up inside - and Piper really isn't better than them at all.

She is occasionally resourceful and badass, I don't hate her. Just don't find her the most interesting.

I think she is largely there as a device so that the middle-and-upper class audience of the show can project themselves better into the scenes. Without her perspective, a lot of the situations would feel pretty alien to most viewers.

Been watching orange is the new black recently. Good show, despite the stupid title. the main character is awesome, she makes it good. almost everyone who isn't in prison is uninteresting and annoying, but thankfully they don't take much screentime.

only in season 3 yet, though, so it might still go downhill later.

The main character is one of my least favorite characters in the show.

I didn't love season 3 but season 4 is actually one of my very favorite seasons of any show. I thought it was amazing.

OITNB season, ranked from best to worst:

2
1
6
5
3
4

Wow this opinion isn't just wrong, it's boldly wrong

gkrieg13 - he is awesome! Considered as one of the best players of modern community, gkrieg always plays extremely pro-town and can guess the whole scum-team in his first post and be right. That's why, along with faust, he is usually a N1 kill.

I am starting my rereads now and I wanted to ask LaLight how well you think gkrieg is fitting in with his usual town play thus far?

@LaLight still curious about this as well.

Iguana: If a (sane) cop investigates the traitor the same night that the mafia kill the traitor, would the traitor show up as town or scum?

I would still love an answer to this, if that's allowed.

LaLight and Joseph, you have been opposed to the Gkrieg lynch and more in favor of a Robz lynch - do you agree that a Gkrieg lynch will be highly informative? If he flips town, I will come around to your arguments that he is pushing wagons in a scummy way.

Not my strongest use of pronouns here. If Gkrieg flips town, I will come around to your arguments that Robz is pushing wagons in a scummy way.

I did a reread of Robz. I am a little on the fence about Robz but think that Gkrieg's flip will be very telling. Robz has been a big pusher of the wagons. If Gkrieg flips scum, Robz is confirmed town in my mind. If Gkrieg flips town, I will be pretty suspicious of him tomorrow.

If he flips town, I will come around to your arguments that he is pushing wagons in a scummy way. But Gkrieg I think is most likely scum, and enthusiastically pushing a wagon on scum (especially when there are only 2 scum currently, sort of) is a very town thing to do.

I think mcmc is very towny, as I've said before. Strong scumhunting.

Galz has done excellent work on the setup analysis. Not as much scumhunting or activity of any kind in the last couple days, hope to hear more from him soon. Overall feeling towny with an outside chance of "oh shit my scumpartner is catching a lot of suspicion and I can't stop it so I'm going to lay low."
