I sure hope not!
Yes, maybe we need a game matching thread... at least until they implement the old "table" style matchmaking. They are doing that right??
The game has also started lagging and then crashing on me since this version. I wonder if it's due to increased traffic? I found the game remarkably stable before today in spite of its other issues.
So, uh.. is it just me, or should the buttons for making selections (Hamlet) be in a different place than the buttons for ending a particular phase?
That has been a problem with Goko since 2012.
Option to Turn Off Visual Effects (950)
This is a feature we said we'd hold off on until the initial launch, because we needed beta-testers to give feedback on the ever-improving visual effects during the beta. Well, now we're here, so here is the promised feature! On the in-game settings dialog there is now an "Enable Visual Effects" with three settings:
All: Operates as normal in all previous versions.
Stationary Only: Turns off the moving visual effects, such as those effects that go from a card to the action/buy/coin counters.
Minimal: Turns off all particle effects, including animations on piles like the bane pile and Trade Route tokens. You'll still see non-animating visual effects, such as indicators on those piles though, as well as simple card outlines.
What I want to know is how keeping Goko running interfered with them working on the MF version? I mean, was it really a lot of work to reboot the thing twice a week?
I like colored borders as they are and I would like if the changes remain as small as possible.
Yeah, but we are like, discussing a patch that is circulated primarily through a forum about Dominionstrategy, so like, that's the relevant subgroup !??!?!?!?!?!!?I thought most players have a card memorized by the time they've chosen to make it part of their deck.
We are not most players.
Yeah this. I think it's pretty likely that a more casual player, the type who doesn't spend time on forums about Dominion strategy
I thought most players have a card memorized by the time they've chosen to make it part of their deck.
Actually, I'm the one that uses binders. Zip up binders ate a good idea. Maybe Voltaire uses binderstwhile as well.
Not knowing anything about their code, I can't say whether or not I think they should be doing a better job because I don't actually know. This (which I believe is the sentiment of many other people here) just assumes they should be doing better because we wish they were. It's just speculation and disrespect.
Whether or not you're right (maybe you are), I don't think this is a constructive thing to think, so I don't think it.
Is it really that expensive if you use a kingdom selection method where there is no overlap between cards during concurrent rounds of the tournament? You'd need like twice as many Dominion boxes per game for a limitless number of expansions, I'd reckon.. Assuming you exclude/restrict Alchemy, Prosperity, and Dark Ages.
Sad that I couldn't make it this year.
Somehow they also do a good job of not advertising this so I always find out way too late.
Customized cursors are the hallmark of tech savviness. Don't you remember the free ones you could get off myspace ads in the early millenium?
