During your Action phase when you could play an Action, if you have any Work cards in play that have not met their Work count, you may "Work" that card by spending a +action and placing a Work token onto the card.

To clarify, can you only work each card once per turn?

Shuffle discarded actions back into your deck, choose one to go on top.

If any of these cause a shuffle you can choose exactly which action they'll play.

The first bit of advice that comes into my mind is: Wharf, Wharf, Wharf, Wharf. Wharf is friggin amazing. Do not underestimate it. It's especially good here because you can discard down to zero cards with Torturer and then still start the turn with cards in hand.

Sort of a Rats-Bomb hybrid. This pile also has 20 cards.

Midway through a turn, I play Prince, setting aside a Doctor. Weirdly, the Doctor is immediately put into play. I dutifully report the bug to ShuffleIt, only to find out that ShuffleIt was correct:

By "Midway through your turn", it was still "at the start of your turn", right? Similar thing would happen if you e.g. Summon'ed a Guide, then call the Guide right after you play it.

So it's a Princed card causing another Prince to be played. That's certainly semi-interesting.

Recession
Action - $2
You may play an Action card from your hand twice. Trash it and gain one costing exactly $1 less.

This isn't my actual entry, but this and your previous contest make me wonder if this would be worth $1:

Digger
Action - $1
Gain a Silver.

Interesting. So the price ratios get higher the more useful the effect is.

In that case, a +1 card project would be at least $9, and I might even put it at $10, since +1 card is even better when it's at the start of your turn.

Considering Poacher is $4, a +$1 project would be $6 or $7. I'd put it at $6 since $ is much less useful than actions at the start of your turn.

Also, Cathedral could probably stand a price raise. It gets docked a few $ for the non-optionality, but I still think it could end up higher when compared to the others.

What other vanilla bonuses are there? Hmmm... what about a +1 VP project? The closest we have to cantrip +VP is Groundskeeper, but the real deal is probably better. I'd put it at $9, since +VP isn't useful at the start of your turn.

Paradox
Action
Replay every Action card you played this turn, that does not replay itself when played.

Sorry, dude, I came up with this one a while ago...

Barber
Action - Paradox - $3
+2$
Trash a card you have in play that cannot trash itself.

It's an experiment with the idea of having an Action-Treasure, something I don't think I've seen before.

You mean besides Crown?

Yes, you have to pick one and only one to be your official submission.

It's unclear what "if you did" refers to in the first version.

Remodal
Action - $4
You may trash a card from your hand, and if you do you must gain one costing up to $2 more. You cannot play the gained card on the turn you gain it, even though there might be something that could cause you to do that. If you do gain a card it should go into your discard pile and ought to cost $0 or more. This card will remain in play at least until the end of your action phase, and shall not be in anyone's deck before the game starts. So mote it be.

Upon closer inspection of Bard, I think I assumed it was male because the nose looks very masculine, at least to me.

Tormentor just has bad artwork overall and it's impossible to tell what's actually going on in it. That very uncircular wheel always makes me cringe.

While we're talking about art confusions, here's something I've always wondered: Is the Count the wrinkly grey guy or the other guy?

I'm seeing at least two ambiguities here:

1. "Otherwise" could refer to any one of the 3 "if" clauses that precede it. Normally you'd assume that it would refer to the "if" directly before it, but that's not the meaning you wanted.

2. Does "if they don't" refer to having Night cards in hand or gaining a Curse?

As I said previously, I think the wording here is too confusing. I'm pretty sure what ClouduHieh means is that if you play it in your action phase you get the silvers (so gaining to hand does something), and if you play it at night you get the (possible) attack.

Yes, I realized that, which is why I deleted that post.

I still think the card is pretty weak, though. Gaining Silver to hand terminally just isn't very good, and the Cursing is a particularly good reason not to get it at all.

Fun Fact: Summoning a Stonemason overpaying by one and later using it to convert Estates to two Gifts is a rather interesting combo, but it seems to be still balanced.

Um, you can't overpay for it if you Summon it?

Lost Highway, Action, 2$

+Card
+Action
Trash this.
While this is not in play, each card costs 1 less, but not less than 0.

Does this card retcon the rules of the whole game?

I think you're seriously underselling the 3 Boons you get from playing it the first time. If you get River, Field and Forest, that's a friggin Grand Market!
