i really like it when people say 'gg' before the game ends, because of that i sometimes notice a 3-pile which i otherwise wouldn't have seen :p

At any time (even in the middle of resolving an action), you may call this to move a card between your Sleeve mat and your hand (in either direction).

and don't forget to put on autoplay - smart ask

I seriously regret not just buying the English version of Dominion years ago. Mixing languages just looks weird, I used to own the English version of Adventures but if only half of your cards are English it's actually even worse, so I sold it again.

I don't have that experience, it looks weird but that's really the only thing. If i mix my english cards with the dutch cards of my friends, some people say "Hey, half of these cards are in english, why is that", and then we have to give a short explanation, but that's that. I really don't mind. Maybe i even like the weirdness.

29
did they do that thing again where they put the cards in the exact same order as the english version, so there's no logical alphabetical order and it's terrible to find where the card is you're looking for?

That alone is enough for me to never buy the dutch version.
(+ it's probably more realistic i play with someone who doesn't understand dutch then with someone who doesn't understand enough english)

What’s the most fun you can have with a deck of traditional playing cards?

Strip Poker.

Or maybe Bridge.

Come on, making card-houses is way more fun.

Not so long ago, i played ferry on cultist on the first turn, and my opponnent said  something like "so many possibilities, and you directly go for the aggression, not my kind of player", and resigned (and probably blacklisted me, i dunno, can you see if people blacklist you?)
Since then i have a new coping mechanism for people getting mad unjustified: i just laugh once out loud, and blacklist them.

If people want to ban cards, that's ok  but they should say it up front at the start of the game (and of course it's still up to you if you agree with it).

But i do hope the ban card-function will come around (all though nowadays it's more because i start to hate boring games where you see a ton of cool combo's on the board, and after that notice rebuild, and then just play a boring rebuild game.)

I also like to finish my turn, but I also think resigning in the middle of someone else's turn is fine, especially because you can continue against bot. (if it's your last turn or last couple of turn's and you're winning anyway, it doesn't matter how stupid the bot is, as long as you have fun playing your deck the way you wanted to)

For al these "do's and don'ts" you're talking about here, there's no right answer: some people prefer you resign when you're losing, some people not. Some people like chat, some people not. You can't know until you asked, and if it's to difficult to ask, it's simple: do what you like the best, then at least one of you two is happy, and there's a 50/50 percent chance the other one is also happy. (and try to remember: there's no other reason to play this game then to have fun)

Is it possibly worth being more verbose with the abbreviations, like how you were with "gl hf"? Someone reading an article about online gaming etiquette may not know what "gg" or "ffs" stand for.

Indeed, i like to see a blog post or something with a nice overview of all those abbreviatons. In the beginning when i was playing online, and i saw "gg", i just tought my opponent accidentally hit those keys an their keyboard or something. After a while i realised a lot of people were doing that so i looked up what it meant, but it's actually not really a simple thing to google, it would be nice that if i google "dominion gg" or something would lead me to a list of abbreviatons.

Sorry I had an unexpected internet-free day.

what was that vote for Roadrunner about?

That was a stupid post, i know. I'll try to explain: I was trying to write a bigger post with a explanation, then I thought "this doesn't make sence, I'll write something else later", then all what made sence that left was the vote for roadrunner, so for some reason I posted that.

Claim.

I claim Albuquerque, claiming my flavor won't help you into believing that, so i will not claim flavor. Oh man, this looks like a scummy post.

I tend to believe Ash. Ann it is a little better to lynch white supremacists than to lynch albuquerque, but it is way better to lynch juarez or pollos. So i would think this:
either Teproc and Ash are scum
or people who want to lynch ash are scum, such  as iguana and eevee

RR still has this scummy thing around him, but what i think about that isn't really funded so for now i'll unvote

I think it's a possibility ash is the only blue faction left.

But we don't know the wincon of juarez/pollos and probably at least one of them has to eliminate the blue faction. (Just a guess) So why don't we try letting lynching blue faction over to them?

If scum wins, we both lose.

Possibly  a lie, unless he knows for certain the exact wincon of juarez/pollos. But there's a chance he can win together with them.

I think Puk is a white supremacist.

I'd be interested in a "yes or no" on that from Puk, too.

No

Yeah, actually I want to hear more from Puk on the blue faction thing.

What i know about the White Supremacists. It seems both the Albequerque and the White Supremacists  can win at the same time. However, if Ash is White Supremacists, he's not a saint either, they can win if Albequerque looses. It's probably best for them to work with Albequerque, but that's not certain. They're just not considered a threat to Albequerque.

What ash says works with what i know. So he could be telling the truth. If he's with the White supremacists, he's not really a threat to us, so we better focus on other scum.
Doesn't change the fact that Teproc read him as Juarez and he could by lying his ass of.

But what we also don't know: what are the objectives of Pollos and Juarez? There's not much lynching going on during the night, yet there are 4 factions. Do they first need to get rid of each other?

I know there are White supremacists around to. They're not a threat to town. If wat Ash claims is true, my guess is he's with them.

My working theory is that, if you're telling the truth, Juarez also shot gkrieg.

What made you shoot him btw ?

1) I wasn't townreading him
2) Only him could be a target
3) It gave me a little buff

My thought was that someone is a vig but they doesn't kill themselves, only picking a target to be killed and the man who carries the kill with a reward for the latter. So i thought it's a town power

or you're juarez and decided to not kill anyone else so you can look really towny today

vote: ash

that's a weird assumption. I could be just a Juarez who just faction killed gkrieg, why would I come up with all that stuff

I don't say you came up with that stuff, i believe it's true. I'm just pointing out that this indeed could offered to you by a townie, and you could have done it to gain the trust of that townie.

what's happening more to you?

That's a townie thing to say I think. It's also not as crazy as people's reactions make it seem: I think newbie scum tends to really want to get lynches through and newbie town kinda don't want to lynch anyone because they're scared of being wrong. Doesn't apply to everyone, but it's not that bad a heuristic... it doesn't apply at all to experienced players, but it makes sense from Puk's perspective.

i admit it's years ago i played mafia (-ish) games a lot, but for me it was the other way around. At first, i always wanted to lynch, no matter what (being town), but afer a while i got the feeling it was sometimes better (as town) not to lynch the first day (and this is 1 day-ish).

I'm not saying gkrieg is the only one who wants to lynch someone today, of course not. What i was trying to say is i don't get the feeling he's scared of a mis-lynch, he's less carefull, doesn't really care who's getting lynched, as long as if someone is getting lynched.

Question though: why don't you vote gkrieg then ?

Because I still have a day to change my vote and wanted to hear opinions about the newbie-crap i was saying. ;))
(or,  totell you the truth: I feel more comfortable when RR vote count is higher then mine)

Re-reading everything, gkrieg is the only one of who i get the feeling that he really really wants that someone gets lynched during this day. To me that looks scummy.
(But maybe that's just the way he  always plays, you tell me)
