What if you just made Snake Pit a cantrip? Yeah, it's still a cantrip trasher, which is crazy, but since it lets everyone else trash too, it might be balanced.  The cursing will only come later, and by then, your opponent(s) will have decent control of their deck already due to heavy trashing, so the curses won't be that big of a deal. 

I liked the trash a card or gain a curse thing, but I don't like the trash an action card or gain a curse thing.  At least not on a cantrip.

Yeah, I'm leaning that way, too. Would you keep the "after I trash two, gain a gold?" Or three, depending on balance?

I think it's fun, but as Gazbag said, trashing quickly and gaining that kind of immediate economy might be too good. What if it was 'Gain a Silver into your hand' instead?

That sounds like convoluted wording. I don't see a good reason to restrict it to only 1 Copper; it's not like you want to have a bunch of Coppers when you activate this anyway. And "total at least $6" isn't defined Dominion terminology. Intuitively, we can say that 1 Copper, 1 Silver, and 1 Gold "total $6", but in terms of actual mechanics, how much does a Bank add to this total? Or what about Crystal itself?

The reason I suggested the copper thing was simply to keep the general feel of the card the same.  You have to buy some other treasures to make it work.  You're definitely right about the wording and the fact that some treasures have variable values.  I just feel like with it being so strict (Copper Silver Gold) it won't work.

What if it said "+1 Buy.  Turn over 4 non-Crystal treasure cards from play for $6"?

Just had a game against [redacted].  I had to wait for about 45 minutes since they waited 3.5 minutes between each card they played, but I eventually caught them waiting too long and made them resign.  I didn't mind waiting since I'm just in class and shouldn't really be playing dominion right now anyways, but normally that would really make me mad. (Or I'd have to take a loss that I don't deserve)

Please blacklist this person.  They don't deserve to use others' expansions if they play like that when they are losing.  I don't want new Dominion players to get matched up against someone like this and then change their mind about Dominion

After playing with the base a lot, it got boring.  Now I don't even enjoy playing just base games, although second edition made it better (I<3 Artisan)  With the expansions, Dominion is just on a different level than any other game I've played, and I play lots of games.  It takes people a while to see why it is so great.  Often they never see it.  Just keep trying.  They'll hopefully convert to the truth eventually

While trying to think of scary art it just occurred to me, after years of playing, that trading post's picture is focused on a guy creeping around a tree.  I mean, obviously I could see the dude, I just never realized how little the actual trading post is involved in the picture.  It almost seems like it could be the art for bandit, rather than the dancing lady in black clothes with two swords

when you gain this you may trash any number of cards that are not treasure from your hand.

I think this would be fine even including treasures since you'd have to reach $5 without using your Coppers.  Early game that's tough to do. Mid/late game, it won't have as profound of an effect.  Although I'd cap it off at 1 or 2 cards from your hand so it doesn't totally get too crazy.

"When you gain this, you may trash a card from your hand." Just an added mini-Bonfire.  This way it actively helps your deck when you buy it rather than adding an extra dead card to your deck (dead on the turn you play it, after the first play of course)

The first version looks weak. It is either Ghost Town or the Ghost Town / Village equivalent of Peddler or Market Square (assuming that you will mostly pick the draw as one of the options).
The flexibility is neat but it is too weak at $5.

I agree that it seems a bit weak, but it also seems quite strong at $4.  Maybe it can be $4 without the gain to hand.  Or if you want it to stay at $5 you could add an on-buy bonus, like Forum's +buy or something.

Another idea to buff it a little bit is to make one of the options +$2 instead of $1. I don't think that would be too crazy.

Edit: Being called antidote, it could be cool if it was able to trash something.  You could possible have trash one card as an option? That way it is definitely $5 caliber

Castles may not be crazy strong, but I think they are one of the most fun (and certainly one of the most unique) kingdom piles.  I'd love to see more piles like this in the future.

I just finished the campaign (with 4 players), and I really, really enjoyed it.

That being said, this is the only legacy game I've ever played.  Is there anyone who has played Charterstone and other legacy games? How does this one compare?

Exorcist for Ghost.  Devil's workshop for Villa.
Villa only returns to Action phase if it is your buy phase. When you play Exorcist, it is your Night phase.

Just when I think I'm starting to understand Nocturne cards....

These are really cool! Well done!

I agree that Fog and Stormy could be too swingy/unfun.  Maybe fog could let you divert a card from your hand or discard pile? That way it's less likely to nab your only Upgrade/Wharf/other important card.

I admit, I came late to this party and haven't thoroughly read through this whole thread, but if I'm understanding right, when stormy comes up neither player can use any actions this turn, correct? (Barring Villa or other shenanigans) I spose that is balanced, but maybe it would be more fun if it didn't make you lose your turn.  I'm guessing you don't want to use the -card token in your expansion, or else that might work.  It could do what Envious does? Idk, I guess I don't have great suggestions, I just think Stormy might not be very fun.

I love Snowy, Rainy and Frost.  Those look like they'd be really interesting to play with

I don't think gatherer is weak.  If you have any kind of engine that is village + draw, this is really nice.  If you just have a village in hand, you can top-deck a smithy.  If you just have a smithy, top-deck two treasures.  It would also be decent in really junky games.  You can recycle the few good cards you have in your deck. Plus you could afford it even with a hand of curse curse estate copper copper.  The coin token works great here too
I really like it as a reserve.  That seems to fix the Counting house/Settlers/Harbinger problem nicely.

Just got my Forager to $7.  Goat, Cache, Gold, Silver, Copper, Plunder, Relic.  I admit I had already won at that point, but I made a couple bad moves just so I could trash at least one of each treasure.  Probably kind of a jerk move, but it was fun

It's kinda sad that it doesn't work with cost reduction (other that Bridge Troll and Ferry).  That being said, I had one game with Cobbler and Ferry with Ferry token on Lost City.  That was pretty crazy.  I haven't had Cobbler and Bridge Troll yet, but that sounds like lots of fun.
