Variants and Fan Cards / Re: King & Queen

I quite like King, anything that encourages deck diversity is good by me. As worded it should double play treasure too right?
Does anyone still use this? I'm pretty much done with it, but I'm willing to revisit it if people still want to.
Oh and Asper, I've taken down your cards for now. I don't want people using your outdated versions.
The favorite set question has been asked before.
Thanks
Links to the old http domain should be working now
All my card links broke. Is the generator just going through some changes?
Some kingdom cards randomly determined, 8 for example, with the remaining (2 in this case) chosen by the players
I've come up with a similar concept quite a while ago: http://forum.dominionstrategy.com/index.php?topic=11604.0
It was a seperate pile rather than a mat and the cards there counted as player's property. Otherwise it is the same mechanic. It is interesting to compare the card ideas.
Dark Room v1 (Action) $5
You may choose an Action from your hand. Play it three times.
When you discard that card, put it on your queue pile.
Butler (Action-Reaction) $3
Put a card from your hand on your queue pile. Gain a card costing less than it.

When you discard a card other than during a Clean-up phase, you may reveal this from your hand. Put the card you discarded on your queue pile.
Grand Cellar (Action) $5
+1 Card
+1 Action
Put any number of cards on your queue pile.
Per card that you put on it: +1 Card.
Interesting. You mentioned that cards on the delay mat are not considered to be in your deck at the end of the game. What about a reaction card that would allow you to delay junk? Those pesky coppers from mountebank get to miss a shuffle, and your curses might still be there at the end of the game, if you get lucky.
Cards on your Delay mat aren't considered in your deck at the end of the game.
I strongly recommend against this. At the end of the game all cards that are "yours" are scored; whether they are set aside, on your Tavern Mat, or never even in your deck like a Summoned card. If you really want them to not be in your deck, then rather than have you gain it when you buy it, you should do something like you put a reserve token on it, and gain it after you shuffle. But simpler to just count them like normal. Rebalance cards if necessary.

hey matt this is jason, I joined so we could talk about the cards easier before we print them. what if sage was like a smithy but with that effect so you don't waste good action cards you draw. I wonder if claimant could trash cards from the supply too or maybe that would speed up the game too much. maybe just the gain a card from a pile with 2 idea would work better or both.
I've now made 250 working cards!
