EDIT: Nvm. It probably makes attack cards too weak and things like Desperation too strong. It needs a nerf but there's no more room on the card.

Edit 2: People don't seem excited for this edict. so I'm turning up the volume on this: Now Every curse is a village, but they are worth -2vp instead of -1 vp.



Another update. Now curses are -2vp villages you cant get rid of. idk if this is a good idea

Am I the only one that feels like this is too complicated and punishing?  A zero-cost Village that is worth -1 VP is fine and I would buy it sometimes but not depend on it. I don't think it needs the -2 VP or the trashing clause.

Not to be that guy, but JW's card is quite similar to one of my old cards. Not that I have any right to complain; a few years ago I accidentally submitted a card that was very similar to one of Hypercube's events. Also, I accidentally copy Asper all the time. Point is that I ain't mad, but still feel it needs to be pointed out.

This looks quite good. The attack part is interesting. Other players have to decide whether they block it with a Moat (if available of course) before the player plays the Treasure. So, they don't know beforehand whether they miss to gain a Gold.

This could potentially make it political, though.

If you have both a Gold and Copper in your hand, you could choose what to give to certain players based on who blocks it in multiplayer, especially in three players.

Personally, I'd get rid of the attack completely and just have, "each other player may gain a copy of it."

Concierge seemed too strong. This version seems strong still, but you can't Concierge a Concierge for triple play like you can a King's Court.

I've been away for a long time designing my own game. It's nearly done (a year or two left), so now my creativity is going back to Dominion.

A lot of my old cards need slight tweaks or re-costing. I'll get to that later.

For now, here're two cards that I'm working on that I want feedback on.

This card won a fan card mechanic design contest. Wording has been slightly improved from that version.

This is one of the best fan cards I've seen in years.

I feel honored that somebody would make a Way based on one of my fan cards, but, sadly, I don't think that Way of the Hare works right.

The original Rabbits card cost 0. So if you put it on top of another pile, it doesn't cost anything to remove it, only a buy. This can be annoying if there are no buys in the game, so Rabbits also provides +1 buy to ensure that it's in the kingdom. Way of the Hare has neither of these benefits, so it can really slow the game down, possibly locking somebody out by putting expensive cards on Copper and Silver so that they can never buy more money.

These are cumulative, so getting a Copper from a Cooper gives you a Card, Action, Buy, and Coin.
This card is very flexible. It can be a Workshop. It can be a cantrip Silver gainer. It can be a Market that comes with a Copper as a penalty. Whatever you need at the moment.

Instead of spending Actions, you could spend Action cards.

You may play a card from your hand twice. If you did, for the rest of this turn, you may play other Action cards as if their text were the played Action card.

BTW, Bull could be shortened to "If it's your Action phase, +$1".  It's always additional, and there isn't an if/else block that would make it not stack.  It might be more clear with more words to someone who's not used to strict logic, but it's how stuff is generally worded and a rule sheet would exist.

I'm fine with how it is. I don't want to go back and redo it again.

Besides, there have been many cases of overexplaining things in Dominion. "After Drawing", "Immediately", "This stays in play."
