@faust: Can you add the PMs to this thread so we don't have to always go to the other one
Oh gosh this took like 1.5 hours to get from zero to full. That’s how it went in the old days
We are full, otherwise I definitely would try!Nice! And silver and gkrieg of courseBtw, just to make things clear: I know Space and LaLight in person and am in general a much nicer person than a few years ago!
Don't scumread me for things related to either
And don't forget faust :-)
Also, I met WCD last summer in Budapest... f.ds is quite full of lovely people!
Yup!! Can you talk them into /inning for this game as well? :-)

Didn't see you where in the game! True that!Btw, just to make things clear: I know Space and LaLight in person and am in general a much nicer person than a few years ago!Ah you're back! I also met you IRL
Don't scumread me for things related to either
If there's an extra spot, /in. If not, I'm available to sub if needed.Nice, another one of the 2016 gang
Well, votes areupsi, I assumed faust 9++ was for 9 players The name seemed so suggestive
Faust 9++: 5
Blink: 1
No pref / undecided: 3
faust 9++ is for 12, so room for 3 more!
*We are at hammer -1*Too much markdown, too little forum Hammer -1
/in iff LaLight and Space in! Good 'ol times!Voting for Blink Mafia I think, sounds fun and analytic!
Sorry, have inned to Faust's game! 9 people seems more manageableTo those that don’t know me, LaLight, Space and me all started in literally the same game — M85. We then proceeded to play basically every game for the next year or so until I dropped out in April 2017 :-) The three of us also did a pretty good job in the 2016 forum awards, winning most fun to play with, newbie and best scum award respectively ;-)
So this is the era of f.ds that still lingers in my head
Also, there was an amazing f.ds mafia meetup in Berlin in 08/2017 with Space, LaLight, Gkrieg, joseph, silver and me :-) I also visited LaLight in Moscow in 01/2019 so if I choose to play this one, be warned that there will be some kind ot undertone with me and LaLight talking
It would be lovely to meet you...and lots of the 2016 folks have been circling back. So, come play!!
Hi mail-mi, congratulations to becoming a father!I am actually considering to play this one! Not quite confident enough about my time constraints to in but definitely interested!
Hey everyone who still remembers me :-)
CALAMITAS!
*cough ;-)I recently played my first non-f.ds online game at another forum. It was totally different. It was real role madness, with the list of possible roles exceeding 50. Total player count was nearing 30. People didn't really want to play in the thread to the point the mods have a standing rule of at least 2 posts per game day per player or you are mod killed. Days were 48 hours and nights were 24 hours. That said, it was actually huge fun. I coerced some people to thread play and appreciated the complicated setup was actually decently balanced and did rely heavily on night results.
I'd like to see us move to more outlandish setups but retain some of our better qualities. I think our days may be too long. I think our setups are too logical. For example, this game I played had two cult factions, a serial killer, a psycho, and town had doubled PRs and a mason (who can't be recruited ever and kills scum when he tries to recruit them). Despite playing a perfect game and never mislynching and even every nightkill hitting scum it was tense the entire time as we slowly discovered there were two cult factions and even knew who some cult members were but were hunting the leaders who did the recruiting. We had a Consulting VT which I had never even heard of.
I agree that our days our too long. Especially Day 1. Maybe it's just me, but Day 1 is my least favorite aspect of the game. We should do an experiment with 72 hours for Day 1.
Is he really that bad? Subtract Bran, and his plan works pretty well. But in the end he got outplayed by a guy who somehow became a walking WeirwoodPedia. (Well not the walking part.) No one could have foreseen that.Yes!
Jep, I know. But I mean, I find it unsatisfying that littlefinger was made to be that bad by D&D.I find it kind of sad that littlefinger was actually as bad at plotting (since season 5) as he appeared to be.
Lots of things on the show degraded once they outran their source material and had to start writing it themselves.
One could just decrypt the role pms if sharing would be allowed :-DI suppose. It's just hard for me to see what incentive would be big enough.I feel like it would be a breaking strategy if town decided to disallow all encrypted posts, lynching anyone that uses encryption. That blocks any conversation between scum.
I assume gkrieg thought of this and gave town a reason to want to communicate as well.
On another note, you probably want to prohibit players from sharing their private keys. Otherwise I can always prove that I didn't communicate with another team member, which will probably break things.
This is a very good point (and good practice for encryption etiquette)
