Dominion General Discussion / Combo: Masquerade/Stash
« on: January 02, 2017, 10:33:14 am »
Is "Masquerade/Stash" combo known or new?

Summary: In each turn, you play a Masquerade to draw 2 Stash.

Game Reports / Eternal Hand-Destruction on goko
« on: December 10, 2016, 05:14:25 am »

4 Royal Carriage and Masquerade.
How to win? I had 4 coin tokens. Use 3 for a single Silver, 1 for another.
(I know the Outpost-version pin is also available.)

To be honest, I DO HATE this. I did this crying, sorrying for my opponent.
I wish the goko fixes Masquerade as soon as possible, today, immediately.

Rules Questions / Possession and trash from Supply
« on: November 11, 2016, 05:57:23 am »
While Possessed, if I play Lurker to trash Forge from Supply, I don't put it in my discard, right? The Japanese translation says if "I" trash, not "my cards" are trashed.

Salt the Earth also has this matter.

Dominion General Discussion / Infinite Combos
« on: November 08, 2016, 08:23:24 am »
We've found 3 different ways to combo infinitely.

Villa/Ambassador
Overlord/Crown/Mandarin
Forum/Trader

We have a few ways to pin your opponent infinitely.

Possession/Forge
King's Court/Militia/Masquerade(1st Edition)
Possession/Ambassador

So I'd like to find other ways to do infinitely.
Any suggestions?

Rules Questions / Crown, inheritance, and Pirate Ship
« on: September 25, 2016, 11:57:08 am »
When Alice is inheriting Crown, Bob plays Pirate Ship to reveal her Estate and she trashes it. Bob takes a Pirate Ship token, right?
(My favorite Thief doesn't have this problem.)

Solo Challenges / Gain Provinces as many as possible
« on: July 24, 2016, 09:36:28 am »
From this Japanese blog.
http://oourajin.hatenablog.com/entry/2015/03/12/220421

Gain Provinces as many as possible.
1. 4-player game. Other players do nothing.
2. Kingdom is free.
3. Perfect luck.
4. You can use any number of turns.
5. You cannot play cards which have same names multiple times. For example, if you play Copper, you cannot play Copper anymore in this game. Throning is unacceptable.

Hard Mode: Gain Colonies instead of Provinces.
Lunatic Mode: Before Adventures.

Rules Questions / Debt

I have 4 debt tokens. I play Wine Merchant. No Treasure is in play, nor in hand. Can I remove my debt tokens?

Dominion General Discussion / Native Village & Bridge Troll
« on: June 22, 2016, 05:20:06 am »
Yesterday I met a very fun game.

Quote
Supply: Candlestick Maker, Haven, Native Village, Hermit, Jack of All Trades, Bridge Troll, Council Room, Ghost Ship, Lost City, Stables. No Shelters, no Colony/Platinum.

I wonder when "big-bridge"(NV/Bridge Troll) is strong. Only NV and BT, this combo is too weak. Workshop? Ridiculous! (You need only 4 BT, some WS.) Then, how about Hermit? Needs more help?

Rules Questions / Inheritance, Throne Room, and self-trashing Actions
« on: June 02, 2016, 01:39:28 am »
I inherited Feast.
What happens when I Throned Estates?
It is not an Action when I try to play Estates on the second time. Nothing happens? Or client freezes and I lose the game?

I played King's Court to choose  Band of Misfits.

I played Band of Misfits as Fishing Village.
I played Band of Misfits as Caravan.

Does King's Court remain in play until the Cleanup of the next turn? How about next one?

Rules Questions / Summon and Lose Track Rule
« on: April 27, 2016, 05:51:07 am »
From official FAQ.
Quote
If you use Summon to gain a Nomad Camp, Summon will know to find the Nomad Camp on your deck, so you will set it aside in that case (unless you have moved it elsewhere via another ability).
Do I set aside Nomad Camp if I reveal Watchtower to topdeck Nomad Camp?
I mean, Summon lost track? Watchtower moved Nomad Camp?
I think it is true because I actually followed an instruction of Watchtower, which topdecks Nomad Camp.

From old topic.
Silly exception: if, due to Nomad Camp or Develop or whatever, the gained card was going to your deck anyway, you could reveal Watchtower to redundantly top-deck it and then reveal the same Watchtower to trash it. I guess.
Is it correct?

Rules Questions / Interaction among Mint, Haggler, and Mandarin
« on: April 13, 2016, 05:18:16 am »
I bought a Ferry to put -$2 token on Mandarin pile.
On the next turn, I played a Haggler and 3 Coppers.
I bought a Mint and gained a Mandarin.
Here's my question.

Can I trash 3 Coppers?
Can I put 3 Coppers on top of my deck?

Solo Challenges / Set aside all Estates on your Island mat in 3 turns.

No shelters, no extra turns.
Hard: No Events
Lunatic: No trashing

Variants and Fan Cards / MJ's Cards
« on: March 14, 2016, 09:22:15 pm »
To build another fun expansion, I will add new ideas here.

Old topics:
Nurse
cost 2 - Action
+1 Card
+1 Action
You may trash a card from your hand.
Time Traveller
cost 2 - Event
+1 Buy
Take a Coin token.
Each other player draws and discards a card.

Another one.
Quote
Broom
cost 3 - Action - Attack - Reaction
+$1
Each other player gains a Curse.
When you gain a card, you may reveal this from your hand. If you do, set aside that card on your Broom mat.

65
I think this answer is no because Estate is not an Action card when I would gain it. Right?

Variants and Fan Cards / Tax Evasion

Quote
Tax Evasion
cost 2 - Event
+1 Buy
Take a Coin token.
It lets you keep unspent coins like Save for the future.

Variants and Fan Cards / Cantrip - Trasher
« on: January 07, 2016, 11:14:35 pm »
What do you think?

Quote
Nurse
cost 2 - Action
+1 Action
Reveal the top card of your deck; you may discard it.
+1 Card
You may trash a card from your hand.

Worth gaining? It lets you trash only one card.
Proper cost? Similar to Fugitive?

Edit(Jan./9): Shifting made it too strong.

Rules Questions / Band of Misfits & Treasure Map
« on: December 14, 2015, 07:32:21 am »
Band of Misfits text:
Play this as if it were an Action card in the Supply costing less than it that you choose.
This is that card until it leaves play.

Treasure Map text:
Trash this and another copy of Treasure Map from your hand.
If you do trash two Treasure Maps, gain 4 Gold cards, putting them on top of your deck.

Do I gain 4 Golds playing BoM as TM?
(BoM is TM when in play. It is not TM when in trash.)

Solo Challenges / Golden Deck for Colony
« on: November 19, 2015, 12:55:02 am »
Build a deck and get a Colony every turn.
Only Colonies and cards costing up to 2 coins are used in this game.
NO SHUFFLE LUCK after building.

Rules Questions / Choosing multiple effects
« on: October 31, 2015, 07:52:31 pm »
From Cornucopia rulebook (p9.l1-l4):
First choose any two of the four options; then do those options in the order listed. So if you choose both +2 Cards, and the last option, you will draw cards before you gain the Silvers and put your deck into your discard pile.

It says I cannot gain before drawing. But I cannot understand why.
The card text just says "choose two." Which is correct interpretation, "arrangement" or "combination?"
That is: I choose gain, and I choose draw. I do them. / I choose draw and gain. I do them.
Even if this is "combination", I have another question. Why don't effects happen at the same timing?
What happens on choosing? Let me know.

« on: August 30, 2015, 06:37:30 pm »

Rules Questions / Clarification of Beggar reaction
« on: August 27, 2015, 07:52:54 pm »
Beggar reaction text:
When another player plays an Attack card, you may discard this. If you do, gain two Silvers, putting one on top of your deck.

I'd like to avoid putting on my deck, because the attack is Sir Martin and I know the both top two are Estates. And I have a Trader in my hand. But I wonder how many times I should reveal.

A. "get 1, get 1(put top)" -> I should reveal once.
B. "get 1(put top), get 1" -> I should reveal once.
C. "get 1(put top), get 1(put top if the first gaining was canceled)" -> I should reveal twice.
D. "get 1, get 1, put one from discard" -> I should reveal once (the latter) because the first one has lost track.

Which understanding is correct?
