This is starting to depend on what else is on the board.Seriously though, remodelling the other way - Peddlers into Grand Markets - sounds like a good move, if you can't find other $4+ cards in hand...I'd guess by the time you've used GMs to get Peddlers, you're probably in a position where you don't need any more GMs and are ready to Remodel the Peddlers into Provinces...
It's always hard to tell because you don't see the masq passings, but you should've either passed or trashed the baron on turn 10, as most estates had already been trashed then. I would've gone the pass, as it would just gum up the other deck.This. The baron per se doesn't seem to be a bad mistake; after all, if it hits once and whiffs once, it's netted you $4, same as a silver. But after getting two chances with it, you should be thinking about passing it esp. if both of you have been trashing estates. The only time it could conceivably come into use again is the late late game for duchy dancing (or province dancing in this case); in the midgame you want the Baron in the other guy's deck.
It lulled you into hanging on to an estate long after you should have, and also lulled you into buying a walled village which should never have been bought. It's not clear if the baron was a bad idea, but the way it messed with your thought process really bogged you down. If I was going to get a second terminal here, it would probably be a second masq.
But that's so boring.Hmm... Remodel, a $6 action, and a $8 action... lemme guess...
ksf plays a Remodel.
... trashing a Grand Market.
... gaining a Peddler.
I'd say more along the lines of using a string of GMs to buy a bunch of Peddlers, and converting the Peddlers into Provinces.
Before you make throne-throne a priority, remember that the throne forces you to play an action card in hand. Throne, throne, wooductter, ambassador, colony might be a bit embarrassing. In which case, play the Ambassador first, returning 0 woodcutters each time (hi opponent, would you like these 2 lovely terminal silvers?), and *then* play your woodcutter.
I'm interested. I'm not that good, but I'm interested. I would suggest each round is best of 3, to avoid freak victories. How does best of 3 avoid freak victories better than the originally-suggested best of five or nine?
This seems too obvious butNot quite... close, but it doesn't quite work...
Library?
Feels like fishing a red herring.
From the top of my head there are only a few $5 trashers: Apprentice, Trading Post and Upgrade.Mint.
And then there are the $7's Expand and Forge.
And I want to point out that witch is probably better here.As an opening 5/2, or as a defence against an opponent who opened 5/2 Mountebank?
A kingdom where every card comes into play. Perhaps we should store this one away for the next time someone asks for a suggested set?I don't see any use for Royal S***...
