Goko Dominion Online / Re: Making Fun's Dominion is now available for tablets!

No one on BGG complains about overheating and resource wasting at least. Well, the average game count is ONE...
People do tend to give "feedback" more often when they are disappointed or frustrated. We don't know how many love Dominion 2.0 mobile and are willing to pay money for this. There are 20 votes so far (3.8 stars) for this game in the android app store.
While that's true, it's hard to argue with the fact that the issues being complained about are things MF/Goko were informed of years ago by casual and hardcore fans alike. It stands to reason many players are simply grudgingly accepting these issues out of love for the game that already exists. The app is unlikely to attract new players with the blatant problems it has, which is bad news for everyone involved.
Doesn't work for 3/4 player games. That's where the other players would go.
One solution for this is to move them to the upper left corner. There is much unused space except in games with 4 or more players.
I agree with both you and jsh that the button placement is far from ideal, but I don't see an easy solution. I think in the same games where they now obscure coin tokens and the resign button, they would obscure the Province pile and some kingdom card(s) if you'd place them at the top.
You can see some or all of these (depending on the boards) in action tonight at 19:00 UTC during my game against Stef.
They look okay, but I guess maybe it isn't the brightness. It seems like the graphic may just be too busy. Adding a white outline around the text makes it more readable, but it still doesn't look great IMO.Why not just keep the outline of the shield and empty the middle?
The VP symbol from the Wiki was too dark to use to display tokens. If anyone knows of a good image to use, or is talented and can create one that looks Dominion-y and looks good with black text over it, let me know.
Wait a minute.... are they actually misspelling "Trashing" as "Thrashing"??
I know that possession is consistently misspelled in the code for just such a reason.
I find it curious that Stef so often is matched against players who seem to be so much worse than players I normally get matched up with there. It wouldn't surprise me that much if it turns out there is some "going around the corner" bug where the very best are seen to be close to the very worst.
It feels a bit like that to me as well, but it is hard to say. If this is really something that is happening, my first guess would be that if there isn't anyone in the automatch pool within 1000, it is just giving up and matching you against the first person it finds.
For people who already moved to 2.0.43, here is a quick patch that changes the log to make it more readable:
My physical Stash cards have the standard back. What language are they?
Stash has a unique back, so you can see when a Stash is on top of your deck.
Personally, I'm appalled that they're not re-importing our ratings from Goko. With an app that had a HUGE history of crashing, they should know better.
Your rating doesn't build up from playing lots of games, it just adjusts as you play better. It only take a couple handfuls of games to get it close to where it was before.
I've played probably like 30 games and lost only a couple of them after MAKiNG MORE FUN was released, and I'm still in the mid-4000s.
I'm streaming on this patch now.
