Hi

is there any strategy in most effectively getting these Dom tokens for buying promo cards? I play and play and the number increases so slowly. Are there more valuable adventures and less valuable?

Thanks in advance.

I want to play some 3 player games in case I need to in the future for reasons.

Dear jsh,

I really liked your 3 player stream. I find it wonderful that somebody puts the focus on 3 player Dominion. Great stream.

I would also play. It's great fun.

Congratulation! This will be a great final.

Would be a really nice if someone could video it (even without sound or direct streaming). But well, whatever happens is fine. I really like Gokodom, witnessing the best of Dominion.

EDIT: is this something that people would like to see? I can pretty it up and include it in my write-up for future matches.

Well, I really admire titandrake's solution of putting the chat on the same recording screen as the game screen. This is especially useful since somebody always is sleeping during a stream :)

However this text format you posted is fine for me (my editor formats it well enough if I ask him to). So thanks.

Hello,

do we have the chat saved of this wonderful match? It is such a shame that it was too late for being awake.

By the way, Alan, great first analysis of the match. I enjoyed reading it.

Congratulations, Adam.

It is so nice that "our last streamer" is still part of the match.
Go, do it, and beat AI, regardless of any chances suggested by any leaderboards.

Goko Dominion Online / Re: Goko bot strategy?
« on: April 21, 2014, 09:38:09 pm »
@amalloy Right. I see you have got some experience with the stupid side of the bots.

I mean much good stuff is already said in this thread about how to decrease the bots' skills. I would suggest to take the best bot you build so far (and maybe even improve it!). Then you can additionally implement the following rules:

- Buy too many action cards
- Buy no, or not enough, or too late cards with plus buy
- Underestimate the value of drawing cards (buy not enough or too late)
- Green to late(!)
- Only go for provinces (dont buy duchies, continue building)
- Nearly never buy estates or alt VP

You should be able to adjust the skill level of the bots by the percentage they follow the bad rules instead of the good ones.

But hey, I would really love to see some improved bots also :)

Did they already change the quality of the bots? Boy is Conqueror playing badly. I always thought he'd play quite decently:

Dear WWinder,

I really loved your Deck Demonstration video (that you streamed yesterday).

At first I thought, well this video is only intended for beginners, and I am only watching it since there is nothing else from you these days. But then I quickly found out, that your explanations about what to do when and how indeed offered me some new insights.

It is always a pleasure when you contribute your insights about this wonderful game. Thanks.

I just watched the stream where you were skyping with Wandering Winder. That was an amazing format. You two discussing the strategy during and after the game.

I am always a fan of new formats (like your split screen videos) and really really enjoyed this new format. Keep up the good work, bro :-)

I love to play Dominion, I am a good learner and I am a dedicated teacher. The game of Dominion is still relatively new to me nevertheless I enjoy the art of winning this game. Therefore I end up watching many Dominion videos.

Since I also like the wonderful Dominion community so much I figured that I want to contribute something.

There are many good players here that upload video material commenting on playing Dominion. Today my game play is not in their class. Thus I decided to produce a “video” on another aspect of playing Dominon and see how people like it. Here the link to my youtube channel with the new video named “psychology of gameplay”. Watch it and react how you wish.

I'll be starting my weekly Tuesday night stream in... like... now.

Why can't there be Tuesday twice or thrice a week...

weird, I managed to find it .... The video works but is not accessible from your channel's home.

Thanks. I was also looking for it. I guess it might appear later on the channel.

And yes, WW, I really enjoyed the video from yesterday. Great one.

Good morning Adam,

Great end game at 54:00.

http://www.twitch.tv/adamhorton/b/499045564

I like your stream. You asked for a little feedback regarding Tuesdays: Well since you usually stream at 4 o'clock in the night (here in Germany), I don't mind which day you choose :-)

Hi,

I am watching your streams and thought I might give a little feedback.

I do love your introduction videos to Dominion (and other games), but I don't like it when you address an audience of beginning players in your streams. For the streams I do enjoy most to watch you play in that Goko 6000+ level range and explain your thoughts for player just below you (5000-6000). Just leading edge of Dominion :-)

Greetings,
SD

Hello WW,

I am blocked again (Germany) for the same reasons (music copyright). I do not understand what Youtube is doing here. They might have a bad week.

Well, I will watch the recordings once they are declassified by Youtube, which might be tomorrow again. That's fine with me as long as I can watch them.

Thank you for streaming.

Regards,
SirD

Dear WW,

thank you very much for your effort. I do get the same message with the second stream: "Blocked due to musical copyrights in Germany."

Have no idea what that is, because up to now I could watch all of your streams (and enjoyed it).

Well... Have a nice day anyhow.

Greetings,
SD

Strange, isn't it. I do not understand it either.

UPDATE 2014-01-26: This morning I can access the recorded videos. Yesterday night I couldn't. I am looking forward to watching the recording.

Hi, WW

do you play music during the current stream on youtube? :-) I can't watch it from Germany. Youtube says it is blocked because of music rights...

Never had this. This is the first time it shows up.

Hello Adam,

I love watching Dominion videos and the more skilled the player, the better. Also I like explanations, why this is better than this or why this strategy will not work. I am to get really good in playing Dominion, but I sometimes are not in the mood of playing myself.

I very much appreciate watching videos since I understand that they it takes some time to create them and I especially enjoy your experimental format where you see both players card at the same time. Love it!

If there are no videos to see, I will watch streams or recorded stream since I understand that they are much easier to create.

I just watched the beginning of your first streamed video. Great! The quality is so much better without the whole browser window. I now understand that you didn't like youtube.

Enjoy yourself
SirD
