Maybe you won't shuffle often, but the game also takes much longer. And producing $2 is pretty common for $5 Treasures.
That's why $5 Treasures are bad.

Can someone explain why Stash isn't worst? Counting House, Cache and Harvest at least have some utility in slogs

Why would it be the worst? It's a balanced card that only suffers because 5 cost treasures are unpopular. Stash has perfectly good utility in slogs for lining up one good hand after each shuffle.
Usually you cycle very slowly in slogs so you don't shuffle often. And it produces only $2.

84
Can someone explain why Stash isn't worst? Counting House, Cache and Harvest at least have some utility in slogs and Contraband is often excellent in engines with trash-for-benefit, but Stash is very much just an expensive Silver. Yes, it has the Chancellor and Scavenger combos, but those are very rare and not a reason to put it higher than those 4 or any other $5 cards.

Tie. We pretty much mirror in this weird BM game. He says he got lucky, but I dunno, our decks look pretty even. 0.5-0.5
I think my 2 Lookouts were a good idea here. They countered Sea Hag well and also trash my coppers. My last turn was very lucky compared to yours.

I got a lucky 5-2 split on a cultist board which was a big deal. My first cultist did miss the first reshuffle, but still, that was a big help towards getting more cultists and fewer ruins. 1.5-0.5
Yes, losing Ruins split 7-3 did hurt. I almost caught up in the end, which surprised me. Your deck was far better though, so the result was your victory.

He goes for governors, I don't. He wins. 1.5-1.5
Governors are certainly the right call here. I probably started greening way too late but you did some mistakes with the Treasure Maps too, so this was a quite clearly my win.

Very interesting kingdom, I'd like to hear from f.ds about this. I wasn't sure whether to go for silk road or provinces near the beginning, because while a silk road rush looks faster, there's embargo, and he opened with it. In the end we both went for provinces.  Because silk road was double embargoed. I got a lucky smuggle off his first gold, and in general I think my having two smugglers to his one really helped. I won, but I'm not sure exactly why... also, my potion buy near the end was really silly. I wanted a transmute for duchies, but that was way too slow. 2.5-1.5
Yes, I should have bought at least 1 more Smugglers. This is really the dream board for them. Silk Road also had some support, but when I saw you opening with Bureaucrat I bought Embargo to prevent going for them. My other opening card should have been Smugglers instead of Bureaucrat. Your Smugglers ended up being a tad luckier than mine which sealed the game.

Another lucky 5-2 split for me with IGG, and there was also moat which really hurt his sea hag, which I think only hit me once. I won the curse split 7-3, and the slowly piledrived the duchies for the win. I made a few mistakes, but the beginning carried me anyway. 3.5-1.5
My plan here was to split the Curses somewhat equally using the Sea Hags and then go for Provinces via Farmland. Sea Hags are also nice Farmland targets. The plan failed though because only 1 Sea Hag play was successful and I had to buy a couple IGGs to save myself from total debacle.

Thanks for the games!
You too.

I'm starting to get a bit depressed about my failure in this tournament - I am currently #63 on Isotropish leaderboard and still have managed to lose all three matches I've played. Well, at least the only way is up.  :-\

I think Wishing Well is terrible. It almost never draws anything except Copper and maybe something better at the end of the shuffle. Yes, it's a cantrip but does being not harmful mean the card is good (scout)?

87
Sage is a bit like Feast. It's useful but it provides only a small benefit. Usually Silver is better.

I really think that Wishing Well and Develop should swap places.

88
I think cantrips are generally overrated. Their bonuses are just too small. Pearl Diver, Haven, Pawn and especially Hamlet are too high in this list IMO.

Hamlet. It's just too annoying to play with, both IRL and Goko. And it's overrated.

While being good for the engine, Border Village can also be used as a decent defence against Saboteur. That's why I chose the Duke strategy.

Duchess, Moat, Doctor, Moneylender, Duke, Saboteur, Adventurer, Border Village, Hoard, Hunting Grounds
This was a really interesting and fun Duke mirror. There were several cards to support Duke - Duchess, Hoard and Border Village. I had a 5/2 opening and really didn't know what to do with it. Then I realized that buying a Duchy would give me a Duchess, so I opened Duchy, for the first time in my life.

My opponent (Rabid) tried to counter with Saboteurs which ended up not doing much (primarily trashing my Silvers). I didn't actually notice Saboteur at first and I was quite worried when he bought them. I wonder if I should have opened Saboteur/Duchess instead of Duchy.

I won the Duchy split 5/3 (probably because the Sabs were slowing him down) and he only manages to trash 1 Duchy and 1 Duke from me. I have the lead and buy the last Duchesses for the win.

I don't know why I won this. Was it luck, or was my opening better, or did I do tactically better decisions? Would another strategy have been better? I thought opening Doctor and going for engine for a while but then I got my super amazing idea of opening Duchy.

What could I have done better?

I think Chancellor might actually have been a good a opening here.

Not for what I was doing. Venture can't hit Chancellor, and I want to get rid of my copper as fast as possible, then buy a Masterpiece with a big overpay. Chancellor doesn't help with that. If you look I actually only played my Market Square 2 or 3 times, so 2-3 Chancellor plays really isn't going to make as much difference as a Silver that will make my Ventures stronger.
Oh, I forgot that. I just can't resist looking for opportunities to use weak cards.  :P

Also, the main function of Mandarin is quite weak to be worth $5. I'd say it's something like ~$4 instead. So you could think of Mandarin openings as 4/5/2 instead of 5/5/2.

This would combo really well with certain Attack cards such as Spy or especially Thief. That might be slightly too powerful (consider a 6-player game, play Prospector and gain Platinum in hand, then play Thief and gain 5 more Platina), but I like the general idea a lot.

Diamond
Types: Treasure
Cost: $4P
Worth $3.

When you discard this from play, you may spend an Action to put it on top of your deck.

Not an identical effect, but close enough in most cases.

This has an interesting combo with Walled Village btw. A hand of 3 Diamonds and 2 WVs guarantees a Province each turn. Even a Colony each turn is possible I think.

Which Duration(s) you played this (not the previous) turn can get put on your deck with a Scheme you also played this turn?
