I'm not necessarily against an ADK lynch, but I'd rather lynch Ichi.

that just makes me feel better about the ADK lynch

As for the content - well firstly it would be nice to link the posts so that they're easy to verify. I'm not seeing it though. I don't think is looking particularly scummy. If anything, he's blending in. I also don't think his response is that scummy.

I could lynch him today, but only if better alternatives *cough* ADK *cough* aren't happening.

I think the main thing about Kinetic Driver is that it can reduce the amount of defense your opponent can build for next turn by sniping Blastforges. From that perspective it's like sacrificing it to construct Gauss Charges (G. Symbiote), only the amount of attack depends on how much your opponent relies on walls, and which walls are in the supply. If your opponent defends with Polywalls, this can be pretty brutal, and if he doesn't buy a "reserve" Blastforge until your Driver is about to time out, it can totally be worth it to sac it one turn early. In games with super breach vulnerable units, getting a bunch of drivers might be interesting/force your opponent to overdefend.

Other than that, blocking core units seems like it can be good, especially the ones which are important to get in specific turns, like Antima, Centurion, Defense Grid, or Arka Sodara.

But even if you don't have any plans for it, simply building a Gauss Canon for 5$, attacking 6 times and then sacrificing it to snipe an Animus for 4$ seems like decent value.

I'm expecting that scum!e wanted some OMGUS post from me and that's why he called me out.

No, no, no.  I hate OMGUS.  It is silly.  I wanted a good case that I could respond to and demonstrably prove that I am town.  Which I don't get either.  Because you didn't create a case, you created a summary.  Which is really easy to do.  As scum

I don't know... a case is basically a subset of the all posts from a summary which you found scummy. I don't think that's much harder - IG already had posts which he thought made you look scummy, so all he had to do was take those out in a nice, packed post, and there you have your case.

The three coin currency is considerably simpler than what the British used to have...

It's a while ago that I listened to the fourth book

Doesn't listening to the books take way longer than reading them?

oh, it does. I think the fourth is about 24 hours as an audio book. But you can do stuff while listening.

when I was younger, my sister and me used to listen to harry potter all the time. we had the first 4 books on cassette, and bought 5-7 on cd once they came out. now... well, no-one has cassette players anymore, so I just have 5-7 and 3

I would never actually read any of the early books...

Actually, time turners are mentioned after book 3. In the fifth one, when they break into the ministry, they destroy "the entire ministry's supply of time turners", most likely to have an excuse not to use them later. Of course, they're still a massive plot hole, but to be fair, it's very hard to include time travel without creating plot holes.

Generally, I feel like Rowling started to take things more seriously from the forth book on. Most of the elements that don't make a lot of sense (like the 3-coin currency, time travel, the broken point system in school, and most of all quidditch) are remnants of the first three books, and after that she just had to utilize them as best as she could. I'd also say she does a fantastic job with that, for the most part.

Harry being disgusted by Hagrid (...) are pretty true to the book
uh... ... really? I would say that you're wrong, but I'm not entirely sure. It's a while ago that I listened to the fourth book, but I don't remember that at all.

you don't have to behave according to the site meta. Just do whatever you feel is best.

the reason I was voting for you though isn't related to the site meta - it's just that I don't remember town!you ever being that defensive day 1. Although, I'm not sure how often you've been under pressure early.

You seem to have some pretty strong reads for this early in the game.

well personally I think big read posts like that are harder as scum then town. At least for me they are.

noted! I don't think so though.

yeah.

Well I was speaking of the books specifically.  Again, I don't remember how any it was handled in the films.  Were you offended by the books too?

No, the book is fine. It's great, actually.

new unit!

It produces energy, so it's like 2 drones if you rebuy the drone you consume (although I think you'll deplete the pile pretty quickly), which isn't great, so it's supposedly meant for when you don't want to buy drones anymore.

If using it allows you to buy defense rather than leave drones to block in the end game, it's most likely worth it.

(there'll be 3 other units released next weekend)

What did you find offensive about GoF?

mostly the way the romance was handled. I can't properly explain that, but I thought it was really tasteless. Specifically the scene in the bath with harry and Myrtle was a slap in the face.

Also - there is a lot of yelling in this movie. Like, Dumbledore is yelling 80% of his lines. why? he comes across as an angry little man in this film, rather than as wise and calm like he did in the third one

The bath scene?  What romance was there?  Just Myrtle having a crush on Harry?  I don't remember how it was done in the film, but I thought the books were alright.  Anything that seems off I can brush off as them all being dumb hormonal teenagers.

right, but they are still teenagers in the next two movies, and they handle it just fine. The melodrama in the sixth film was actually quite touching.

What bothered me about the bath scene is that myrtle is virtually molesting harry - physically - unlike in the book.

Another thing was how harry is being disgusted by Hagrid showing interest in Maxime. what an jerk. I mean he has his flaws in the books, but never like this. I think the crux of why I found it offensive is that I felt like it misinterprets characters I kind of liked previously, both in case of Harry, Dumbledore, and tentatively Ron (during the ball).

Oh and, then there was the scene when Harry is trying to get the golden egg without flying, which just makes him an idiot and eats up running for something that's not even in the book.

I just rewatched all Harry Potter movies - is it just me, or is the first movie really bad with horrible acting and stupid dialogue, the second one slightly less bad with slightly less horrible acting and slightly less stupid dialogue, the third one fantastic, the fourth one tasteless and borderline offensive, the fifth one alright-ish but kind of forgettable, the sixth one alright, the seventh one pretty good and the eight one sorta fun but completely nonsensical/arbitrary due to the complete lack of exposition despite plenty of run time?

honestly, the third one is so much better than any other one, it's crazy. I can't be the only one to think that.

I've also been towny!
