Probably the client will default to a currency supported in your location, or to a choice of major currencies (for Ozle, if they decide not to support the Tuvaluan Dollar)*.

*Yes, I know that the Tuvaluan Dollar is equivalent to the Australian Dollar but I'm trying to be amusing so bear with me.

It's a pretty long step from Abbot to Cardinal. Monks, even those who become Abbots, rarely become priests, let alone bishops, and even more rarely do they rise to the cardinalate.

What about changing Abbot to Prior and Cardinal to Abbot (or keep abbot and change Cardinal to Archabbot or Primate or some such?)

Otherwise, this is a great Traveller chain.

Sandinistaband Treasure-Attack

+

Each other player must discard a Contraband from their hand or reveal a hand of no Contrabands. If they did not reveal a Contraband, they gain a Copper to their hand.

[sorry if this is too political]

The Protoss ZERG love Empires.  Spawn more Overlords!

FTFY

Still waiting on the Pylon card

Hey, Dominion has had Scout. That's not good enough for you?

Ruined Market shouldn't be highest. When it's good it shines more than any other ruin, but when it doesn't shine it's marginally better than Ruined Village.

I thought you had a thing for cards that are marginally better than Ruined Village.
I have a bunch of posts about Scout that I drafted in the notes app back in the spring. Don't make me let them loose!

I'm not worried. You won't be able to let loose but 4 at a time, and if you do let 4 loose, you'll soon lose the ability to look for more. But maybe you're talking about two-topic posts where the second topic might lead to something interesting?

Why not? It's Faraday today.

There is a tension joke in here, but I just can't make it work.

You obviously just can't cut it.

I would say "Ohm my", but I know that in this case resistance is futile.

What does the X in Donald X. Vaccarino stand for?
It's a variable.

What is its current value?

Obviously around 10 milliamps. Enough to shock you, but not enough to cause any harm.

Why would anyone ever play Dominion with 5-6 players? The horror.

Of course, to be able to buy out the Curses and Coppers to stop your opponent doing the Trader-no-Silver trick.

Also, Celestial Chameleon, when he's emptying the supply in 0 turns--or Chuck Norris, who can do so while all the cards are still in the box on a shelf.

Let's Discuss ... / Re: Let's Discuss Second Edition Cards: Sentry
« on: November 27, 2016, 06:59:54 am »
It totally combos with Watchtower. When you get incoming junk, you can top-deck it for your Sentry!  :P

But in all seriousness, it does counter Sea Hag, Oracle, Rabble, Fortune-Teller, and other top-deck attacks quite well.

Pearl
Treasure
Cost: $4

$2
When you shuffle your deck, place this on the bottom of your deck.

It took me a looong time to find it, but here it comes!
Directly from the wilderness of the meme thread:

I think that I'd prefer 'Stache's format for Pearl.

Seems kind of OP.  Knowing where it is kind of offsets it being on the bottom and missing shuffles.  Three of these is a province every shuffle.

But Pearl could stand some playtesting throughout the $2-$4 range.

Three of these are a Province every shuffle if you are very good at managing your deck. Otherwise, they will be a Province every second shuffle or even not a Province at all if they end up split between two hands.
Compare with Stash, where you need one more to guarantee 1 Province/Shuffle, but then you don't need to worry about doing exact reshuffles.
And Fourstashes is a pretty bad strategy, and I don't expect Threestaches to be much better.
Stache is good when you draw your deck, or when you are desperate for economy.

This is indeed a terrible card, because it has no provision for what to do if you're shuffling and shaving at the same time. Also, if you merely trim your 'Stache, rather than shaving it off, then this becomes a cheap Gold.

I can't predict everything, but as things stand I have no plans to replace cards in the later sets.

Seaside came closest but there were issues with replacing a few of the cards I might have, and overall it just didn't compare to fixing up Dominion and Intrigue.

Okay Alchemy actually has plenty to fix, but it doesn't make sense to take on that project. Alchemy has some vocal fans who want to see more potion stuff, but there are enough people that just don't like the potion premise (separate from the other issues, mainly being too slow of a set) that it would just never make sense to work on fixing Alchemy rather than any other project I might work on.

Instead there could have been 1-2 new cards in each of 4-6 expansions, with a single upgrade pack with all of the new cards. That's not perfect - maybe you bought a mix of new and old sets and the upgrade pack is half redundant for you. But uh it's an idea to toss around. And well I didn't end up doing it. We're revising all the sets from Seaside to Adventures (as described in the OP), but without new cards.

Count' Action $5

Compute the number of cards in your hand. Then in your deck. Then in your discard pile. Then in your opponents' hands, decks, and discard piles. Then the number of cards in the Supply. And why stop there? If you go outside and start counting the stars in the sky, you'll probably win. Count!

I like the first version more and would actually have an easier time to explain it to other folks than in the case of the abbreviated text.
I also don't think that Rabbits requires a buff.

How about this:

Quote
Rabbits Action, *
+1 Buy
+
You may gain a Rabbits from the Rabbits pile.
Put this on a non-empty Supply pile that doesn't have a Rabbits on it.
(When a player gains a card beneath Rabbits, they gain nothing.)
---
This costs while on a non-Rabbits Supply pile.

One tiny caveat: It should say, "when a player would gain a card from that pile . . . ."  Otherwise, it's paradoxical--you can't gain both a card and nothing at the same time--(ok, you can, but only trivially).

And do you really only want Rabbits to have 10 cards in its pile, or should it be 20 like Rats?

Independence Movement Action

Return a Province or Colony from your hand to the Supply, and add 3 copies of the set-aside card to the Supply.  If you do, add a new player to the game, sitting immediately to your left. Their starting deck consists of 3 Silvers and 2 Duchies (if you set aside a Province) or 3 Golds and 3 Duchies (if you set aside a Colony.)

For the rest of the game, each time the new player gains a Card, you take 1 token. Each time you gain a card, they take a token.

If they buy an Independence movement themselves, then you and they stop benefiting from each other's gained cards.

Split pile:

Democratic Peasant Action-Reaction-Attack

+1 Card
+1 Buy
Each other player reveals cards from the top of their deck until they reveal an Attack card. They set aside that card and discard their other attack cards. At the end of their next turn, they may discard the Attack card or trash it, their choice.
-----------------
When another player plays an attack card, you may reveal this. If you do, the attack is discarded and is considered not to have been played.

Anarchosyndicalist Commune Action

Each player passes his hand, deck, and discard pile to the player who played this. Shuffle them together, then distribute an equal number of cards to each player. The cards received become each player's new deck. Each player then draws 5 cards from the top of their deck.

Victory Card Map Action

Trash this and another copy of Victory Card Map from your hand. If you do, gain any combination of Duchies and Estates from the supply whose total printed VP value is up to 12, putting them on top of your deck.

(note: the cost lets you buy it even sooner! )

Recombobulate needs 'trash 2 cards from your hand' in order to dovetail with other remodelers. Unless you want to go crazy and let it remodel from your discard or something. Not sure that it's strong enough, though; most of the time I'd rather have Steward, which is cheaper.

Vendor Seems weak. I can't imagine that I'd ever buy it over Militia unless there was no other +Buy. Maybe you could have it give out Coppers or Ruinses (potentially conditionally) instead of being a discard attack?

Investigate Any reason you're not using the "If this is the first time you've played Investigate" mechanic?

BTW I don't think that Procession works for Investigate, since you don't trash it until after you've played it twice, unless you're planning to play a second Investigate after you Procession the first one. Your wording seems like a lot of work just to get a modest boost with Possession.

Another possibility is that you could reveal your hand and draw 2 cards if you don't reveal a 2nd copy of Investigate, which would boost possession and also prevent Lab/HP-style chaining. But in any case, I think that I'd usually prefer the much-cheaper Menagerie over this.
