If you can do Duke and Duchess, surely you can do Fort and Fortress.

Here's to all the times Farming Village actually does something pretty good:

Turn 3 - ThetaSigma12
T plays a Farming Village.
T reveals a Copper and 2 Estates.
T puts a Copper into their hand.
T discards 2 Estates.
T plays 5 Coppers.
T buys and gains a Mountebank.

Discarding the Estates was nice, but otherwise, you were no better off than if you'd had a Silver in your hand.

Bank Road Action-Victory

When you play this, this is worth 1 for every Victory card in your hand.

Silk Bank Treasure

At the end of the game, this is worth for every Treasure in your deck (counting this).

Antiquities Baron Action-Looter

+1 Buy
Choose one:
discard a Ruins for $4, or
gain a Ruins

Heir Apparent Action-Duration

+1 Action
At the start of your next turn, +1 Card.
-----------------
When you gain an Estate, you may reveal this from your hand. If you do, trash this, to gain an Heir Presumptive from the Heir Presumptive pile.

Heir Presumptive Action-Reserve

+
You may put this on your Reserve mat.
--------------
When you trash an Heir Apparent, you may call this, to trash this and gain an Heir Apparent to your hand.

Trader in hand turns Traveling Fair into a Delve whose Silver you can topdeck.

Trader, Traveling Fair, and Silver? That's a three-card combo. No Go. After all, who hasn't played a kingdom where some doofus forgot to bring the base cards to game night?

Bought 20 conquests on the last turn to pile out the silver.

How in the hell did you get $120 and 20 Buys
Scrying Pool/Storeroom with Squire for extra buys.

If you had $120, was it really necessary to pile the Silvers, or were you just showing off?

I'm just waiting for The Last Adventure, in which we learn the true relationship of the Peasant and the Fugitive. Also, I want to know whether the Rebel Hero gets trashed or Duplicated.

133
Guys, I just noticed the OP specifically asks for interactions between two cards. I'm sorry, but this means you need to stop posting those Event- and Landmark combos.

Ace of Spades-Ace of Hearts is an awesome Texas Hold'Em hand.

Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius, father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. Action/Reaction

Play this as if it were as a Gladiator.
------------------------
When another player plays an Overlord as a Gladiator, you may reveal this. If you do, you shall have your vengeance, in this game or the next.

Maybe you could just amend the setup clause as follows:

Setup: Put 2 VP and a token on each VP Card Supply Pile. When a player gains a card from a pile with a token, they gain 2 VP and move the token to the Trade Route mat.

This makes buying that first Estate or Duchy (or even Province) more attractive, and thus gets Trade Routes' bonus ability into play sooner.

It's also a lot easier to get a strong Trade Route than a strong Forager. Forager often fails to get above $2 (neither player wants to trash a Gold if will benefit the other players' Forager as well as their own), but no one refrains from buying a Province just because it will boost their opponent's Trade Route.

And normally you're not going to buy a Potion or Royal Seal or Talisman just so that you can trash it for Forager, but most games will see all three types of basic Victory cards bought, and alt-VP cards usually get bought in every game, as consolation prizes for not reaching or even if they're not especially valuable in their own right in that particular Kingdom or strategy.

You can always throw away the extra boxes.

lol, creative :P, but I think the space problem is mostly other people's stuff, and the boxes are so pretty too. Really it isn't that much of a problem. My mother is kind of...unintelligent and exaggerates "problems" like this.

Surely you have at least one friend who can store some old boxes for you in their basement/attic/crawl space/garage etc.

Boardgamegeek and ebay are probably your best bet, especially if you're looking for second-hand copies.

I don't understand your comment about Empires--it doesn't take up any more space (either in or out of the box) than Adventures does.

You won't find any other bundles for sale other than the Big Box, which includes Alchemy, Prosperity, and the 2nd Edition of Base (if you get the 2nd Edition Big Box). (There's also the Cornucopia/Guilds bundle, but you already have that).

There are about a billion storage solutions out there (on this site, on boardgamegeek, and via Google). Most of them involve buying a large box from a craft store and modifying it somehow. I don't know exactly what sort of space issues you have and don't want to discuss a stranger's apartment over the internet, but a third-party storage solution is probably your best bet to reduce space.

I assume most people don't instantly recognize the English flag as being such.

Yes, it's easily confused with the flags of Guernsey, Alderney, and Northern Ireland, all of whom have at one point had native languages other than English.

Is it in your power to have the second edition entries merged with the first editions?  Second editions seem to be leading to a lot of balkanization for many games recently (Dominion, Agricola, Viticulture, etc.)
Quote
I do not understand this use of "balkanization." I don't have the ability to cause changes at BGG.

Because everyone knows that DXV is not a Slav to fashion.

Obviously you'd have to follow the rules of the market, but do you think yourself that the concept of alternate, non-convertible (in the sense that Debt and Coin can be converted into just fine) currency is not intellectually satisfying enough to expand on? Surely the small expansion did not explore all the routes that came with the new concept. On the other hand bad luck of the draw at turn 3 can hose you in a way that you may want to resign early.
I think the concept of "alternate currency that you buy in order to use and that's all there is to it" would not benefit from further effort. Too many people didn't like it and more cards wouldn't change that. And a card with +$P wouldn't change that, and a Remodel that got in P wouldn't change that (and Alchemy at one point tried out such cards).

The broader concept of alternate currencies could be fine. Feel free to tackle the problem of how to make a good one in the variants forum.

This concept could be... the bomb.

The UK flag equates to "English-speaking", not the UK, in this instance.

And in many other instances, which irks me. Can't they just pick the English flag?

Personally, I (and likely Ozle), think they should go with the Tuvalu flag.

Contraband's pretty good in Border Village games. If they ban Border Village, you just buy the $5 card you wanted anyway; if they don't, you buy Border Village instead.

Is there any reason you would not simply choose Counting House or Fortune, every single time? The chosen card doesn't have to be in the Supply . . .

What about borrowing Villa's wording? Thus, you could have,  "At the start of your buy phase, you may discard this, to draw a card. If you do, return to your Action phase."

This avoids having to invent something to React to. Even if you have Actions left over, you can just declare that you're done with your Actions, move to your Buy phase, play this, and move on.

That said, I think that this card is pretty weak. Given that it's generally strictly worse than Squire, I think that it could safely cost $2, and even then, most people would only buy it when it's the only +Buy--i.e., for the same reasons they buy Herbalist or even Ruined Market. Maybe you could change the discard bonus to +2 cards?

While this is in play, at the start of each player's turn (including yours), they may reveal and trash three potions from their hand.

If they do, trash this.

If they do not, they reveal cards from their deck until they reveal two Victory cards. They trash both of these cards and gain a Ruins for each trashed card, putting them on top of their deck.
