Any Good Place fans? I really enjoyed the first two seasons, and am excited for S3 next month. I highly recommend it as one of the best comedies on television at the moment.

I really enjoy isle of skye, I think it’s got a lot of interesting decisions while still flowing really nicely.
Has anyone tried the expansion? I almost bought it, but I’m worried it adds too much to the game and will take away from the flow of the game, and haven’t had a chance to try it out yet.

There's almost always a tournament of this going on and a lot are broadcast on twitch. I find them better than AGDQ, since it's the same experience minus the donations.

I started my first race of this today, I've been watching it quite a bit lately. I know where most of the item locations are, but learning how to clear the dungeons is going to take a lot of work. I'm excited to start trying this and I'm hoping to have a lot of fun with it.

« on: March 28, 2018, 12:24:24 pm »The advantage is that such games are highly interactive, you have to constantly try to evaluate correctly who is leading instead of just glancing at what the other players are doing while mainly focusing on your play.
This hasn't been my experience with TM at all. I played a four player game where the player on the other corner was far enough away that I couldn't really see the cards he was playing unless I asked. Rather than being engaged and trying to keep up with what he was doing as it would impact my gameplay, I shrugged and moved on without really knowing what he was doing for the most part -- the gameplay advantages simply weren't worth the effort of looking at what he was doing. This was in a drafting game, as well. I knew what tags the other player was going for, and that's about it.
When I played a take that card, I'd look up, see everyone's board state, pick a player who'd be impacted the most / who I thought was winning at that moment, and went back to my board. It was simply a moment of taking stock of the game state, rather than constantly evaluating the game state every turn. Definitely not a highly interactive experience in my eyes. It may be similar to Dominion, in that Dominion seems uninteractive until you get to higher levels of play, but the initial impression is definitely multiplayer solitaire.
That said, I do enjoy TM. It lets you do cool things and build an engine, which I really enjoy. I think it has plenty of warts, but ultimately is still a very fun game.

It looks interesting! I'd be interested in playing it in person, but I'm skeptical about being able to get the consistent player count to play the game. The game is played in several Chapters. Each Chapter has 3 games meant to be played in a single session with the same group, but you can change players throughout sessions. I think it would be most fun to play with the same group across all chapters, which would be extremely difficult offline -- it could be possible online, though!
I have no idea how well the game will port to forum play, but it's definitely worth keeping an eye on and could be something we try here once the game is available.

My brother picked this up for 8 (!!!) dollars on amazon a week or two ago. I had played it once before several years back, and it left a lukewarm impression. However, we played three 2-player games in a row and had a good time with it!

Are you sure about that? He wasn't O's partner (evidently), so someone had to be willing to bus and you're the most likely candidate for that since you're the only one who didn't actually vote for him.

Agree that Robz/RR is unlikely. If there's two alive, Robz/Awaclus is my best guess. If there's one alive, Robz/Mcmc maybe? Still wanting to lynch Robz.

Awaclus, I'm thinking this is scum Robz and scum Gkrieg both townreading you to get you on their side for the final lynch. They just need one town member on their side to try to make them win, and they're banking on it being you.

I don't think scum busses this game, especially early on. They might tomorrow, but I don't think they would especially D1 or D2. It's tough to get town cred points for being on a scum lynch when people don't actually know it's a scum lynch, so scum doesn't risk it.
