Not strictly speaking "almost all," though, because there are infinite real numbers which are not normal.
I'm assuming that liopoil meant almost all with respect to Lebesgue measure.

Which, I imagine that's true, though I don't know for sure.
This is what I meant. I read somewhere that it'd been proven, though I have no idea how. Seems plausible though!

Yeah, but like, how stupid would it be if pi weren't normal? Almost all real numbers are normal.

I played this a little while ago and it was pretty cool, and obviously makes a good point. I did have one issue with it though...

The game only considers a small finite set of strategies, from which the best performing strategy against the others over time was the "cheat only after you're pretty sure that you're opponent is a cheater" strategy. The game makes it seem like that strategy is some sort of "long term equilibrium". And I'm sure that in the real world where we play similar games, it may be. But for this specific game, it isn't actually. The rules of the game state:

Quote
you'll play anywhere between 3 to 7 rounds. (You won't know in advance when the last round is)

(this later became any variable number of rounds, but for now we'll assume that the game lasts at most 7 rounds).

Then if a game gets to a 7th round, you know that it's the last round. So if I take the copycat strategy and modify it to "copy what your opponent did in the previous round, unless this is the 7th round, in which case, cheat no matter what", then I will beat the copycat strategy in the long run. Similar for all of the modified strategies that sometimes cooperate. And then we can go further: once all of the strategies cheat in the 7th round, it becomes pointless to cooperate in the 6th round... and so on.

So I think that the game needs to be modified further to truly get the desired outcome. Maybe something like: "after each round, roll a 6-sided die, and if it's not a 6, play again".

I think town has a lot to gain by sending messages to each other, so I'm not sure that would be worth it. Scum could win without communicating with each other

idea: one of the town PRs (monkey?) gains a tiebreaker ability

like "each night u can target someone who will be lynched at eod the next day in the event of a tie" and else scum just wins it

Ya. Making Kubo lynchproof would be one idea. Part of the setup is coming to a 3v3, and making the coin flip one way or another.
They didn't need to lynch me, they could have lynched any townie and guaranteed the win

It would be nice if you could at least reveal what the win conditions are and how many people have each win condition... too many games have gone wrong for me because of uncertainty about that

Ok, I will roll 1d2 using the forum software.  1, town wins.  2, scum wins.

I'm back.  I was out this evening.  Sorry to spoil your fun, liopoil.  Kudos on the hammer bluff.  I knew it was probably a bluff, but wasn't willing to risk getting my King lynched.

Well done everybody for finding the Moon King!  Let's see what the coin flip gods decide should happen now.

Vote: Liopoil

All good. The scummiest thing you did (before hammer nonsense) was your breadcrumbs really. chairs saying "Uh I didn't breadcrumb... didn't expect any counterclaims at all" was enough to convince me.

If the coin flip goes wrong will I be the first IC to be lynched in f.ds mafia history? Oh no

Yeah, hypothetically we could have lynched CJ when Lalight voted for him, and then hoped awaclus blocks the shot so that we could win tomorrow without a coinflip. Or hypothetically I could have been around and decided to hammer Jake in the four minutes where that was possible. Or, much more realistically, I could have just decided to lynch CJ yesterday... but it is what it is.

Town's flawless win streak (6) in blitz games is over... and depending on how the flip goes the normal win streak (10) could be over too.

Welp.

This is the thing I was giggling about actually, was that in the end it's a coin flip as to who the lynch happens on.
Yep. That's how it's been the whole day. We needed mafia to bus, they refused, and they needed us to vote for each other (or at least a sister), and luckily we didn't do that.

The very new mod gkrieg13 is aware and able to end the day when required at deadline.
"very new" nice.

Vote: Liopoli Now the fun begins
Hmm that's not me

Yeah, gg. Should have lynched CJ yesterday I guess...

Not really.
Wait how can you see that I was active because I wasn't on again.

I'm leaving for a few hours, hopefully when I come back CJ will have claimed mafia and we can move on.
This was a lie. For some reason I thought CJ might try to vote for Jake and unvote before I came back? Nah.

Awaclus, vote for Jake, and I'll hammer.
This was a bluff. I was not going to hammer, I just wanted to see if Awaclus would do it and if CJ would let it happen. At the time I thought CJ was the moon king. Seriously, Jake is the moon king both games and lalight fakeclaims beetle both games?

Now it's just a coin flip :/

I wonder if it was actually unintentional or you were trying to trick me into thinking chairs was the moon king?
But like, you were happy to lynch chairs yesterday so that was never going to work...
