How about IRON as the residue from the first round?

I am uncertain about GOLD. If IRON is a thing, I think he'd given us some metallic clue. OTOH I cannot think of anything else connected to gasket. STREAM maybe, but that's a stretch.

I am not seeing how "cured" links to HAM.

While I like DOCTOR most, don't know if "cured" links it up with POISON.

Unless you can convince me on HAM, I'd go w/ DOCTOR, then WASHER, then POISON.

Hmm. I still think that other clues than "Gasket" would more readily point to WASHER and IRON.

I had to look that word up.

These things seem to be made of IRON, they prevent DROPs to leave WASHERs.

WASHER and IRON is unlikely as LAUNDRY would be put in a washer and then ironed.

So I'd go for WASHER, followed by DROP.

We just finished rounds with guessing teams of two using both open and concealed talk. I think in the end everyone was ok with open talk. It is clear that this game needs more "fair play" or rather "playing to the spirit of the laws" anyway.

I'd be interested to join another round of six.

With "fertility" I had in mind: EARTH, SATURN, WORM, and RABBIT. I picked "fertility" over "fertile" because of SATURN, but should have picked "fertile" probably for the worm, as in "The Formation of Vegetable Mould through the Action of Worms, with Observations on their Habits". As Egork, I completely overlooked CYCLE.

"Gunpowder" was clue to FORCE, COMPOUND and LONDON. I hoped to cover TRUNK and WORM with "pliable". I saw the looming threat of the PIPE bomb, especially after Alan Rickman's passing away, but did not see any better way to clear the board in three turns (team Red would definitely have won within four).

This is probably great with Wharf, since you can play "Wharf, (call) Cotr, Wharf, Wharf, spend Cotr during buy phase" every turn to enable a deck with 6 Wharves and just 2 Cotrs to power them. You only have to have 1 Cotr in your deck and the other on the mat.

That'd be five cards in your hand, six cards to draw with your last turn Wharfs and six cards with the Wharfs you played. Times two for a "draw half your deck" game would be a deck of 34 cards total. Maybe somebody else would have ended the game before you have that many cards. Granted, the +buy help a lot but it may not be the dominant strategy. I think I'd gladly lose the Wharf split and be content with four Wharfs.
